Or a Mission Accomplished banner!

Maybe one day you'll surprise the entire world and actually respond to something instead of deflecting from it.
You were serious about that Nobel Prize line?

Yep, Putin's kicking butt. And if he "wins," and Assad and Obama go along with his plan, it will mean:

  • No American casualties.
  • No "message sending" bombing and deaths.
  • Zero wasted on multi-million dollar ordinance.

    and worst of all...

  • No Mission Accomplished aircraft carrier photo-op.

How awful! Because you know bragging rights about who's winning and who's losing, who's up and who's down, really is the important thing. Just like in high school.

  • Actually what it will do is create a stall. There will be several months of haggling by Syria, Russia and the UN as Russia will want to be the referee on this. Obama will prefer to sit in the backseat while Putin drives the car. Russia will continue to arm Syria, including putting in a missile defense shield.

After months of haggling UN inspectors will be allowed in but not given access to all potential sites.

In the end Syria and the rebels will continue blasting away at each other, thousands more of civilians will be killed and even more will become refugees

Hoops, have you ever weighed in with an opinion on the correct path forward? Or is it your plan to continue to just criticize from both sides? Let us know so we can determine if its worth reading your posts on this topic. Thanks

That does seem to be a common theme among the right wingers. If Obama bombs Syria on his own orders, he's circumventing the Constitution by not getting Congressional approval. If Obama looks to Congress for approval he's indecisive and a poor leader.
"Hoops, have you ever weighed in with an opinion on the correct path forward? "

obama has yet to put forward a coherent plan that that doesn't get revised within 2 hours

You are deflecting just like Forkie. What do you think the plan should be?

If Obama revises his plans every two hours, he's indecisive. If Obama refuses to revise his plan based on the changing global dynamic he is myopic and stubborn.

Bullshit. Here's my first post on this thread about five days ago:

As it turns out, I was right about the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, and deregulating Wall Street. I'm probably right about bombing Syria - I'm opposed - and based on my track record, maybe everyone should just take my word for it.

And don't tell me that I was supposed to make a reasoned response to the ridiculous suggestion that Obama should send his Nobel Prize to Putin. It was witless even by BobOrme standards, and I gave it what it deserved: ridicule.

And snidely, I have a possible suggestion for you. IF you supported starting Iraq War, please please just be quiet - even if you agree with me. In 2002, if you were too lazy to learn that Shiite al Qaeda hated Sunni Saddam, if you were too stupid to know that fundamentalist al Qaeda hated secular Baghdad, and if you were too obtuse to realize that Bush and Rumsfeld were looking for any pretext (aluminum tubes? cakewalk?) to go to war, then you really aren't very good at this foreign policy judgement thing.

I think you've lost your mind to invent some kind of crazy straw man argument from 11 years ago.
The NSA just picked up this phone call at the White House

Operator - This is the White House - who is calling?

Caller - This Vlad the Mad Putin

Operator - How can I help you?

Caller - Can you please tell president obama that I found his balls in my pocket and would he like them back?

Operator - I will tell him when he returns from golf
