Thanks for the shout out Justin Bieber

...Seriously. Classic rock stations play music from the 60's, 70's, 80's and some hits from the 90's. Do you really think they will be playing Justin Bieber on classic rock stations in ten to twenty years?
No I don't. I agree with you that his music won't have any staying power. So what else is new?

The Pat Boone version of Tutti-Frutti was much more popular than Little Richard's. For a long time Salieri was a bigger hit than Mozart. The first big Springsteen hit was performed by Manfred Mann. And in country music, there was a time that fans and television networks ignored Johnny and Waylon and Willie and Dolly and Merle in favor of...Glen Campbell and Barbara Mandrell.

Usually, it all shakes out in the end.

In a dumbed down world, this kid is what passes for talent. Go figure.

Little kids listen to unsophisticated music, always have always will. There have been teen heartthrobs rock'in the charts for decades, making little girls scream and lot's of money.

Now all of a sudden internet "experts" have revelations regarding the talent or lack thereof of a teenybopper god . You are just fools that think everything is different now, and you have discovered that a mildly talented pretty boy is just a shallow, petty child.

David Cassidy
Shaun Cassidy
Nick Carter
The Jonas Brothers
Hanson
The Backstreet Boys
The New Kids On The Block
'N Sync
Andy Gibb
Leif Garrett
Bobby Sherman
Ricky Nelson

Only a complete moron would think Bieber is any different than any of these guys. Only a brain dead fool would think teen idol worship is the product of a newly "dumbed down world".

Only a sad pathetic lonely bored person would give a rats ass what some lighter than air flash in the pan says at some random music award show.

AGAIN, you seem to miss the main point of the story.
All I've got to say about this is, "BABY BABY OH BABY!"

Let's see, 50 years later and they are getting another tour together.

JB is a pop teen heart throb and old giesers are not going to like him. Guess what? He most likely will not care.

I sure hope you are not trying to compare JB with the Rolling Stones. This old geezer does not believe that JB will be around five years, let alone fifty. The kid reminds me of Vanilla Ice. How long was he around?
It is not that I do not like JB, it is just that this old geezer grew up in an age where entertainers had REAL talent. Just because JB is a pop teen heart throb, that does not mean he has any talent. Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.

Not comparing the two, just the situation where a new talent is around and there will always be people there to say they aren't worth a thing.
There are those that hated Taylor Swift and said she wouldnt be around a full year.

He had 1 hit. No comparison.

Justin Bieber should turn psychedelic.

Actually he meant for all of the "Justin Bieber haters". I am proud to admit that I am a card carrying "Justin Bieber hater". I don't hate him as a person, but I hate his music, and question what has happened to this country's music tastes when the biggest pop stars are Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj? They aren't exactly my parent's Elvis, Beatles, and Rolling Stones, or my U2, Eagles, and Guns N' Roses. So thanks for the shout out JB. I appreciate it.

Justin Bieber, who's still just 18, claimed three awards at Sunday's American Music Awards in Los Angeles, including the ceremony's top prize, artist of the year. Bieber started off with the first award of the night, claiming the trophy for favorite pop/rock male artist.

"This is for all the haters," the Canadian teen singer said while accepting the trophy, adding that many music observers thought he would only last for a couple of years on the music scene. "I feel like I'm gonna be here for a very long time," he said to cheers from the crowd.

Bieber later returned to the stage to collect the award for favorite pop/rock album for "Believe." Jenny McCarthy kissed the young artist so many times that he joked, "Wow, I feel violated right now." ...

You are correct sir. I thought the "main point" was that you are not a Bieber fan. Turns out there are hidden messages buried deep within your OP.

Bieber is just another in a long line of teenybopper heart throbs. Any adult male that pays any attention to anything he says is messed up. I get your point RM, you care, and that makes you beyond creepy.

You forgot to use [/sarcasm] at the end. I really can't believe you can't see the point about how he was VOTED THE BEST ARTIST IN AMERICA when it hits you right between the eyes. You then venture out on tangents that ramble and make no sense.
