Constitution of the United States:

"First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

One need not "become legal" to pursue one's interests or the interests of others. There are laws prohibiting bribery and corruption; DonDiego supports rigorous enforcement.

It was ONLY $24 billion! Now there's a great Republican campaign slogan.

$24b also represents about 2 weeks of the annual Obama deficit
I'm not a programmer and I only know rudimentary HTML and I understand the round peg in a square hole analogy but shouldn't they have anticipated since they started work on it 3+ yrs ago? I know everything I've read and heard have said the ACA is pretty much a train wreck. I've seen a few guys on CNBC saying the same, including a system analyst. Shoot, even the CEO of Aetna is talking about how troubled the roll out has been so far. Thinks it'll be three yrs bedore it's working properly.

Aetna chief says 'so much wrong' with HealthCare.gov roll-out

And another slam on from CNBC home page.(actually there's many just on CNBC site alone).

Bad to worse: Obamacare website slammed by critics

BTW on a diff topic here, If wal Mart closed, it wouldn't be much more than locking the and turning off the lights, they wouldn't be paying people to erect barricades in the parking lot and manning them to make sure people didn't park there cars there. The only money lost would be to no revenue. The Govt still had revunue coming in govt. workers are still getting backpay for time missed and in some cases double paid because states are letting them keep their unemployment benefits.

..so that 24 B cost for the shutdown is based on "lost worker productivity" and I believe that term is VERY LOOSELY used in this context. Count that many depts claimed a lot their workers were "essential" and kept them working so I think that figure is somewhat exaggerated.

The Bill of rights doesn't confer rights to corporations and other non-persons that is unless you're a judicial activist with a very, very broad view of the Constitution as a living document. Even if you have an expansionist and non literal view of the Constitution like Don Diego the First Amendment doesn't give a you a right to be heard. Banning Lobbyists doesn't restrict any free speech right it just prohibits congress critters from listening to their free speech.

No that is not true in the 26 states (including ours) that did not expand Medicaid these types of folks are SOL. They don't qualify for the subsidy because their income is too low, but they don't qualify for Medicaid because their income is too high. Bottom line they are still required to buy the insurance at full price.

I have a question for any or all of the Obamacare supporters here.

How do you suppose the thousands upon thousands of unemployed workers, the people forced to accept low paying or part-time work or minimum wage work are going to afford to pay for a forced purchased insurance policy or pay the penalty when they cannot buy one?

Any ideas?

If they are unemployed with little or no income they will qualify or Medicaid.

Most people who lose their job dont have nough income to go beyond Medicaid. As for states that refuse to expand Medicaid...you hit the nail right on the head. Is It Obama's fault that Mike Pence is a deusche? indiana voted for a governor that did not want to provide healthcare to its people dspite the fact that 90% of its paid for. Neither you or I voted for him...but nevertheless thats the price you pay or living in a state run by right wing ideology
Thought this was pretty funny

I like that.

When called to testify before congress sebelius said she had a schedule conflict; turns out attending a party in Boston is more important than explaning why obamacare is not working
When the White House propagandists lose CBS News, they've got a problem.

DonDiego suggests the reader watch the 2-minute video linked below in which 3 CBS folks, usually sympathetic to the President, explain what's happening in the implementation of the President's signature health care initiative and the resultant "Credibility Death Spiral".

Problems With Obamacare

As the reporter suggests: " . . . one false promise after another . . ."

Not so long ago DonDiego predicted: "Anyway, a lot more money is going to get thrown at the programing problem, . . . when the real problem is mismanagement.
And since the delays are, . . . umm, . . embarrassing to the current administration a quick solution will be demanded, . . ."

From the Department of Health and Human Services, 20 October 2013:
"Our team is bringing in some of the best and brightest from both inside and outside government to scrub in with the team and help improve HealthCare.gov.
We’re also putting in place tools and processes to aggressively monitor and identify parts of HealthCare.gov where individuals are encountering errors or having difficulty using the site, so we can prioritize and fix them.
We are also defining new test processes to prevent new issues from cropping up as we improve the overall service and deploying fixes to the site during off-peak hours on a regular basis.
The initial consumer experience of HealthCare.gov has not lived up to the expectations of the American people.”

And so the quick and costly "solution" begins . . . .
