There you go conservatives: Obamacare is failing

The good news, . . . "Dumb People with expensive joke coverage will, if their insurers agree, get to keep their expensive joke coverage for another year." Dumb people are people too.

The better news, . . . Smart People with premiums lower than they can find through Obamacare, if they can find anything at all on healthcare.com, and excellent coverage that suits them personally will, if their insurers agree, get to keep their policies for another year.

The bad news, . . . many of these policies won't be available; in some cases, e.g. the evil rich, airplane-loving Stage 4 cancer patient Ms. Sundby of San Diego, the insurer plans to leave the personal market in certain markets altogether. DonDiego doubts it is in the company's interest to reverse its plans 6 weeks from the end of the year.
And several State Insurance Commissioners have already ruled out re-introducing the cancelled policies altogether.

The worse news, . . . even if Ms. Sundby were "permitted" by He Who Must be Obeyed to retain her policy, shortly after the November 2014 elections are over, January 2015, she'll be out of luck anyway, when her policy is cancelled for sure, . . . unless He Who Must Be Obeyed changes the rules, . . . again.

No apologies should be made for making it illegal for con artists to sell people shares of the Brooklyn Bridge.
If people want to pretend to be upset about that "destruction of their freedom" then so be it....it makes for good comedy.

There are some people (a tiny amount) who had legitimate insurance whose rates will rise under the new law. If something can be legitimately done to alleviate their situation then I'd be open to having the government look into it...keeping in mind that no system is perfect for every person.

The goal of any government policy is to benefit the most people possible while letting as few as possible fall through the cracks. And I'd be happy to have that pissing contest with anyone who might argue the previous train-wreck system we had was better.
We need to return to the pre-Obamacare days when not a single American fell through the health care system's cracks.

chilcoot- " We need to return to the pre-Obamacare days when not a single American fell through the health care system's cracks." -------- No, actually we need to return to the pre-Obama days when a President actually told the truth. And before you get on your bandwagon, I mean before GW and the lying adulterer Clinton.

Lol.

chilcoot-" Lol" ------ LOL all you want, now read your Daddy Obama's lips. Who is laughing now?
Sheesh. Chilcoot's desperation smells worse than fish that sat out too many days.

Well, thank God the doc isn't sounding like a drunk skunk in every Obama thread . It's obvious you and Chilly aren't buddy-buddy. But at least Chilcoot is showing some knowledge about the subject and he at least presents some data, etc. The Doc is just blowing smoke out of his ass. Attacking Chilcoot just for personal reasons is too easy.

Dude, you won. Dumb People with expensive joke coverage will, if their insurers agree, get to keep their expensive joke coverage for another year.

What's your problem?

He did no such thing. He knows insurers aren't going to reinstate cancelled policies. I didn't "win" anything. No promise was kept. Period.

The goal of this government policy is not health care or benefiting "the most people". It is about control and money. If it were about health care, there wouldn't have been 16,000 additional IRS agents hired to police compliance.
