No.

Kaiser Family Foundation:

Consumer Reports says:

"Consistent with our mission to inform and protect consumers, particularly in this complicated health care market, our advice remains the same: The best place to buy coverage on your own is through the Health Insurance Marketplace in your state. That guarantees you will get comprehensive coverage, and it's the only way you can lower the cost of your premiums and possibly even your deductibles and copayments."

I just got on the Fl exchange for a basic quote the closest comparable to the policy I have now, the premiums are higher, the deductibles are higher. The co pays for prescriptions are more than I pay for my medicine and I will have to mail away for it where now I can just go to any local merchant and get it filled. I am reading reports of many insurance company cancelling insurance because it doesn't comply with the new health law, I sure hope I don't lose my policy.

Another bad thing I see is that they coverage is only for Fl doctors in the net work they don't offer out of coverage area (at least in the price range I am comparing) the gold plan. this will be really bad for the folks who spend 6 months here and 6 months elsewhere . My policy now I pay an extra premium if I go out of network but I am covered.
Medical insurance companies are one of the least profitable industries @ under 5%.

Excessive insurance compnay profits sounds great in a speech, but the numbers tell a different story.

Another failure is coming down the road. Part of the savings of obamacare was an estimate by the Rand Corp for $81b annually for the merging of medical records.

After the govt spending several billion on the program it is now believed that technically the merging of records can't be done.

So obamacare costs just went up another $81b.
The verdict appears to be in on Bummercare. It sucks. The only thing we don't know yet is what will provide more comedy in the months ahead. Will it be the law itself or Forkush and PJ's defense of the law?
Now the Bummercare website is giving people much lower estimates than what they'll actually pay. Foreign policy, economy, ACA...pretty much a failure across the board. Makes you wonder if he was even much of a community organizer back in the day.

"Jay Carney has said, 'Americans across the country can type in their zip code and shop and browse.'

Industry analysts, such as Jonathan Wu, point to how the website lumps people only into two broad categories: '49 or under' and '50 or older.'

Wu said it's 'incredibly misleading for people that are trying to get a sense of what they're paying.'
Prices for everyone in the 49-or-under group are based on what a 27-year-old would pay. In the 50-or-older group, prices are based on what a 50-year-old would pay.

CBS News ran the numbers for a 48-year-old in Charlotte, N.C., ineligible for subsidies. According to HealthCare.gov, she would pay $231 a month, but the actual plan on Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina's website costs $360, more than 50 percent higher. The difference: Blue Cross and Blue Shield requests your birthday before providing more accurate estimates.

The numbers for older Americans are even more striking. A 62-year-old in Charlotte looking for the same basic plan would get a price estimate on the government website of $394. The actual price is $634.

Industry executives CBS News spoke with could not believe the government is providing these estimates, which they said were useless and could easily mislead consumers. They also said that the website repeatedly states the actual prices could be lower, but it makes no mention that they could be higher."

It does sound more and more like a used car salesman.

I xaught part of a story on the radio about calling one of the 866 call centers and they weren't able to give a specific price for whatever policy, said you had to get on the website to do that. I haven't heard anything about in the news so I don't know...

I thought this was pretty funny tho.

Where are the know-it-all touts Chilcoot and forkush to tell us, once again, just what a boon Obamacare is for everyone in America? Now that reality is exposing Obamacare for what it really is about, neither one of these bastions of knowledge can be found. Maybe they can join their Daddy Obama selling used cars after he leaves office.
