Well, . . . at least it is clear he hates poor old DonDiego; DonDiego hopes arshaleign [AKA forkush] doesn't possess any firearms, . . . he seems awfully angry.

And he doesn't present any rational argument, . . . about anything.

The only redeeming feature is his devotion to preserving the image and body of his President-and-Saviour-for-Life Barack Obama.

DonDiego apologizes for not making himself clear. He did not mean to "tee-up" pjstroh. He just wanted to know pjstroh's true feelings on the matter of gun confiscation. And he wanted pjstroh to become more familiar with his true self.

Actually pjstroh still shares Senator Feinstein's view. As she stated on CBS's 60 Minutes after the passage of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban: "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them, 'Mr. and Mrs. America turn them all in', I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't there."

I confess I cheated. I called Senator Feinstein right before my post so she could tell me what to write.

But I thank Don DIego for helping me learn the nature of my true self. I now understand what policies I would advocate if I lived in the conspiracy theory fantasy land of right wing paranoia as oppossed to planet earth. What was it melbedewey said earlier..."consider yourself aware". I am. I most certainly am.

Now I'm confused. Does believing what Feinstein said put one "in the conspiracy theory fantasy land of right wing paranoia as oppossed to planet earth", or should her words be ignored because she didn't really mean them?

In DonDiego's original post on the forthcoming legislation he indicated it is "as yet undefined".

In the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 this was the definition:

`(30) The term `semiautomatic assault weapon' means--

`(i) Norinco, Mitchell, and Poly Technologies Avtomat Kalashnikovs (all models);

`(vii) Steyr AUG;

`(ix) revolving cylinder shotguns, such as (or similar to) the Street Sweeper and Striker 12;

`(B) a semiautomatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of--
`(i) a folding or telescoping stock;
`(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
`(iii) a bayonet mount;
`(iv) a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; and
`(v) a grenade launcher;

`(C) a semiautomatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of--
`(i) an ammunition magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip;
`(ii) a threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer;
`(iii) a shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned;
`(iv) a manufactured weight of 50 ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded; and
`(v) a semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm; and

`(D) a semiautomatic shotgun that has at least 2 of--
`(i) a folding or telescoping stock;
`(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
`(iii) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds; and
`(iv) an ability to accept a detachable magazine.'.
