TV's greatest villains

The list was compiled before The Following premiered, But you are right Joe Carroll may be the worst

I agree that Frank Burns wasn't a villain, he was just a putz! The real villain on MA$H was Major Flagg, the intelligence (or lack thereof) officer.

Good Luck!

Over the air TV with an antenna? How quaint. Does the milk man still deliver to your house?

No milkman here, but approximately $500 + per year ($30-$50/mo + taxes & fees) remains in my pocket because of those "rabbit ears".

The money I'd spend on "cable" TV is better spent on high speed internet. My home connection is 18-20 mbps when wireless, and 46-48 when plugged into the router directly, with unlimited bandwidth.

Oh, yeah, I can/could/have also watched many/most programs that interest me online, free.

I'll give you a hint.....The Dukes of Hazzard

DonDiego opines the list is somewhat lacking in villainous characters from the earlier days of television. DonDiego and television grew up together.

Fr'instance:

Mr. Phineas T. Bluster was a quite unpleasant early villain residing in Doodyville.

And Froggy the Gremlin caused mayhem in black and white whenever he plunked his magic twanger.

I couldn't stomach that show, but I regularly watched Dallas on Friday nights which came after Dukes. Wasn't the mayor the villain in that show?

Doodyville?

I wonder if they could have such a name today?
How about Tony Soprano.
