It's MARCISDAVE, not Marcusdave.

Listen here Dr. Demento........the USA is getting sick and tired of folks like you....the far right lunatic fringe. The results from the 2008 and 2012 elections should clue you into that fact.

I'm here to help

Amen Brother. Great post!

Try Google --- It Works!

Here are just a few examples of people abusing the Disability System -- There are also numerous stories of people abusing Food Stamps, Medicade, and other programs.

Washington Times - Social Security Disability Fund out of money by 2016
Forbes
MSN - Disability Fund Out of Money in 2016

I am convinced many people need assistance. I am also convinced many people are abusing the system.

What we need is some welfare reform like we had in the 1990's with Gingrich and Clinton.

I know someone who is collecting disabilty for being obese; apparently a diet doesn't work
What you call abuse is what I call a symptom of a larger problem. Disability rolls are growing because there aren't enough jobs for 45-65 year olds. Folks in this age range run out of unemployment and a lot of them have a preexisting medical condition of some type so they apply for disability. Fix the jobs problem and the disability problem will take care of itself.

Businesseeek: Facebook pays ZERO in federal taxes, ZERO in state taxes, and receives $429 million in welfare.* Nice work if you can get it!

*Actually, Businessweek refers to the welfare as a "federal tax refund."

I knew a guy like that. Every year(or however often he to weigh in) he would be bragging "it's time to put the weight back on" and would just gorge himself silly. He was a husky guy but he was never obese, except for weigh in time.

J

And I'm not thinking of when homer went on disability either

If we prosecuted those who defrauded the government, we could also get rid of the issue.....what a concept.

So are you saying the "Obama recovery" ain't as good as advertised? Shocking!

Wait! You mean we should maybe hire some BIG-GOVERNMENT workers to go after people who defraud the system? That is a neat idea, albeit a bit communist in nature. Hmmmm. But it looks like the people who passed Obamacare without reading it in the dead of night thought it was a good idea too.

Medicare Fraudsters on the run from George Orwell and Big Brother!

"In 2011, the government was able to recover $4.1 billion, adding to a four-year haul that is more than twice the amount that the administration of George W. Bush was able to locate.

Over Obama’s first four years in office, his administration recouped $14.9 billion in healthcare fraud in government programs. During the last four years that Bush was in office, just $6.7 billion was recovered"
It is not fraud they have legitimate health issues, and the proof they are unable to work is that they have no job. So unless you can supply them a job you don't have an argument they are committing fraud.
