what's your "hobbies" and how can you afford?

Well I try to stick to a couple only.

Golfing and gambling, nothing beats a round of golf with betting on the outcome. Then go into the "resort" and gamble for a few more hours.
meant to say on the "topic" how many CAN you afford!
I've been an on-again, off-again coin collector for many years. Used to buy all kinds of commemoratives and such, now I stick to annual Proof Sets only.

I collect Elvis recordings also - every now and then go on a bender and buy a bunch of new stuff.

Craps used to be an expensive hobby, but it seems I gamble a whole lot less then I used to.
I used to be a collector of lots of things. I woke up one day last year and realized the clutter it was creating in my house - so my most recent hobby is selling all my collectible crap on Ebay. I'm about 1/4 of the way through my sportscard collection which will go a long way towards buying a new car. So I guess my hobby actually makes money for now

Is hoarding a hobby?

I also used to collect coins and now stick to the mint proof sets.
Ahh, hobbies. With me, they come and they go. One thing will hold my interest for a few years and then its on to something else will catch my fancy. For a long time it was coins, then it was baseball cards when that was popular. Then it was coins for a long time again.

Now, and for the past few years, it has been movies and movies posters. I currently have about 800 DVD's and100 posters ( almost all originals ). Among other things i have all 85 Best Picture Oscar Winners. Let me tell you, there are some real dogs in that bunch! If you ever watch Antique Roadshow on TV you probably know that old posters can at times be quite valuable. You'd be surprised how quickly some of them can gain value. To have them close at hand is to realize just how much of a work of art some of them can be also.

How do i afford it? How does one afford anything? Don't buy something else that day. Smile.
My hobbies are grammar and punctuation. All free.
I have a stamp collection that I started in the 60's but quit buying around 2000. The Post Office issues too many new stamps each year to consider the hobby "collecting". Its more like amassing. Have a lot of coins from before 1965 but quit that about 1990. So now I'm just left with the gambling. Not much return on investment there. More entertaining though.
I grow rare fruit trees.
Golf and whiskey and wimmen. Be the death of me.

Mostly just golf. Ain't nobody got time for whiskey and wimmen.
