Like many others, our hobbies have changed over time.
Gambling, both locally and in Las Vegas remain a passion, however we are much more low key with other things now.
Most recently, we have been growing heritage versions of different vegetables for fun and food.

Paul and Sonya from Iowa
My h2b and I both like to shoot firearms. Him being an officer gets us lots of great deals.
I ride horse's and we both have Harley's. I have a few friends with horses that need to be ridden, no cost.
Our HD's were pretty well stripped when bought and we just customize a little at a time.
We are thrill seekers and love roller coasters and zip lines. They don't cost much, it's the vacation we are on is where the expense comes in.

and gambling of course. We save anyway we can. I'll eat grilled cheese for a month if it means a bigger bankroll. lol
I like to shoot firearms, too but with the current ammo shortage, haven't been doing it much.

Surfing and sailing. They sound like young folks hobbies but not really. And they are not that expensive.

For surfing, a few hundred bucks will get you a decent board that will last for years and the waves are free.

Sailing can be uber expensive. However I have spent a lifetime building up the experience that is sought by yacht owners. Hence I sail on OPBs, other peoples boats. A lot of the times on longer races this includes all my expenses. I regularly get to sail to Hawaii, Cabo San Lucas, Jamaica, Antigua, Bermuda, etc. for free.

I also like to fly. I have a partnership in a fairly nice plane. There is nothing affordable about that hobby.

I collect Elvis recordings also - every now and then go on a bender and buy a bunch of new stuff.

Is Elvis releasing a lot of new recordings these days?

My hobby is drinking beer. It can be more expensive than it sounds.
I like tinkering around with my wood chipper....

JoeK can probably describe this better than I, but I will give it a whirl. There is a company called FTD (Follow That Dream) that has acquired hundreds of previously unreleased soundboard recordings of Elvis In Concert. Also, they have acquired quite a few audience taped concerts. In addition to this, they also have a large sum of unreleased recording studio outakes, alternate versions of songs, ect....ect...ect...

One has to realize that Elvis gave over 1,000 concerts between 1969 and 1977. Not all of them were recorded, but a good chunk of them were. FTD releases a small number of these each year....and has been doing so for quite a while. No two concerts are the same....so there is some variety and surprises in the stuff they release.

Thanks for that Elvis explanation. That is very similar to vault releases of Grateful Dead recordings that go back 30+ years.
Saltwater fishing.

Stop at six of everything and have friends with boats. My own fishing boat is a kayak.
