You're a real talkative individual I'll give you that

But to answer your question, I come back once in a while to check if there's some interesting Vegas info. But during the last couple of months the most interaction between forum members could be found in political threads (and not in a positive way).

But let me ask you a question. Do you think this forum has improved during the last year or so when it comes to finding useful Vegas related info? Let me ask you a second question, do you suggest I leave and don't come back because I don't appreciate all the political talks around here? Or to be blunt: are you saying, "if you don't like it don't let the door hit you on your way out?". Inquiring minds want to know.....

Sorry to say it, but when the mods crack down and don't let us talk, there is no life around here.

The political nonsense is causing people to spend less and less time in here. I can't tell you how many people have told me they find the environment toxic and tiresome.

Long time posters are now long gone because of what this board has become.

The concept of "if you don't like it, don't read it" has been put into place. There are other boards with Las Vegas content and most regulars who posted here for a decade have now moved on.

It baffles me completely how the political posters keep posting on a Las Vegas forum. Then when asked repeatedly to stop, they feel they have the right to tell the Las Vegas posters to leave if they don't like it.

I don't think it's a lack of political knowledge on this forum at all, but seriously how much can we sit around and talk about how much 6/5 BJ sucks, or best buffets in town?

I'm positive that if you ask a question there will be plenty of folks coming forward to give a plethora of quality answers.I enjoy talking about Vegas along with a multitude of other interesting subjects(news of the weird or dumb, which is often pol ) and I won't hesitate to jump in on a Vegas thread if I feel I'm able to contribute. I think Mal was on to something, if you would like to see more Vegas talk, initiate some threads, I'm there if I have something to say.Respectfully saying,

J

BTW While some may be so proud of the "fact" they never start any pol threads, they are usally one of the first if not the first to respond and probably contribute over a third of the responses in it. Come to think of it, some don't startany threads at all or contribute to any threads that aren't pol. Sorry lurker, my last post on your worthwhile thread

I tend to disagree with you on this one. Vegas is way more than 6/5 BJ and buffets. There are other forums out there with a large amount of active posters with new Vegas related discussion every day. Now, if those other places can make it work why wouldn't that be possible at LVA? I think because a number of posters don't come here anymore to discuss Vegas but use this forum as their personal chat box.

How come:

You don't think "if I am sick of the Vegas posts on a Vegas message board, maybe I should leave"

But

You do think that "if Vegas people don't like the non-Vegas posts on a Vegas board, they should leave"

?

I don't think Jatki's point of view is as "black or white" as you're stating here but some posters on LVA do leave this impression and that's remarkable.

I'm not sure but I seem to remember that last time the clamp went down, this place was a ghost town, you could hear a pin drop. That was when there was no kore talking even in the kit sink, that's when many posters left for kevins bd. The clamp down on pol threads wasn't the only reason some left, there were several who got a huge hard on towards anthony/LVA and still feel that way today(as far as I know).

J

BTW, I know Vegas is way more than those two things I just picked the first two topics off the top of my head. I know to each his own but I don't find interesting to talk about vegas constantly, this is the only on line forum I participate in. I have a friend, I like him a lot but once football season starts all he wants to talk about is football. We can be at a really great party lots of friends, partying it up and yet he won't talk of anything but football, it's boring and tiresome as hell. Don't get me wrong, I like football and really like talking about it, but after a solid 30-45 mins, it's time for the conversation to move somewhere else for the night, we can pick it back up next time.

I know I know, its a Vegas mess. bd. and not a cocktail party but I do enjoy talking to the people on here and I do reading about anything new about Vegas, excepting minor here and theres', there just isn't that much new.
