Well, no, President George W. Bush still has him beat.

And will have him and likely his successors beat for some time.
Did somebody forget to source his graph?

"The very deficits you speak of are caused primarily by tax cuts that you advocate. And I think thats the primary difference between you and me. We both hate the deficit...we just have different opions about the policy that creates"

The people in charge of the govt for the past 5 years is responsible for the deficts furing that period. They had the authority to make any changes that they wanted - they chose not to

No doubt about it. And since 2010 "those people" have mixed control of the three entities used to craft legisilation.

I'm not happy "those people" decided to largely make permanent the most fiscally irresponsible legislation in our history - the Bush Tax cuts. But how about you, hoops? Clearly you dont like the deficit...but what are your thoughts about the policy that creates over 200 Billion dollars of it each year?.

Well, to be accurate, because Sen. Franken wasn't sworn in until July 9, 2009 and because Sen. Kennedy was so sick before he died in August 2009, Democrats really only enjoyed full authority in DC for four and a half months, from Sep 24, 2009 when Sen. Kirk assumed office until February 4, 2010 when Sen. Brown replaced him.

Outside those 133 days, we've had unbelievably partisan divided government with no one getting what they wanted.
The democrats had control of the executive an legislative branches in Jan 2009? Having more than 50% of the votes is control, which they had until 2010. They chose not to repeal the tax cuts, so the tax cuts are part of the democrats.

The fact that Obama could not convince a few Republican senators to his views show how weak a leader he is

To the long list of things hoops2 doesn't know we can add

"How the U.S. Senate Works When the Majority Doesn't Have 60 Members"

and

"Norm Coleman (R-MN) was a U.S. Senator Throughout January 2009".

These types of graphs are the typical lies we see from the current administration apologists...
I wasn't apologizing, I was bragging. And my source for that graph is the Wall Street Journal, and they weren't apologizing or bragging, they were just being journalists.

Oh, and the deficit is down massively since Obama became president.

I guess this is where you and I just differ PJ, I advocate spending less not restoring any prvious cuts to fix the current deficit(s), then FINALLY start whittling away at the budget.

I mean do you honestly think 3 trillion is not enough to run this country sufficiently?
