Main Street Station or California?

Why can't the language and other political crap just be kept in the sink?  You guys can wallow in your misery there.
There are many of us who come here for good advice, but unfortunately many threads get derailed with profanity and politics.
Just keep it on topic and G-rated so the rest of us can peruse the non-sink forums in peace.

Please??

Thank You JDC These guys can offer good information about Las Vegas.Yet get distracted.

South Point Buffet for Veterans.Free buffet plus a guest.Nice.

Kevin, you are any angry person. Please express your anger in the sink. You have some great ideas how to make a Vegas trip more than a few nights of getting gouged on the strip.

I have gone out of my way to stop in Henderson and will every trip to town.

Please keep contributing your years of experience to the 95% of us who read the LVA to escape the 24 hour politics on TV and other web pages.

I uttered mild criticism of South Point's treatment of players, and Miller, who constantly stalks me, seized the opportunity to attack me. Candy noted, in response to Miller, that I had said nothing to start an argument with him.

I don't know what your definition of "an angry person" is, but if it's "Someone who, on occasion, expresses anger," well then, put the cuffs on me. And everyone else on the planet as well

Can't you block him.?

That's right Kevin. Most of us get angry from time to time. I appreciate your wealth of information on Las Vegas and you keep the forums interesting as well.

It's a diversion from the politics of Western Canada right now. I am heading to Vegas on Monday, as I need a change of scenery.

Western Canada in particular? I know the provinces of Canada have more autonomy than the states of America, and the provincial premiers have more power than US state governors. I also seem to recall that historically, BC and Alberta have marched to the beat of their own drummers and don't always agree with Ottawa.

For that matter, it's always seemed to me that any Canadian province or US state that is on the border has more in common with its cross-border neighbors than with its same-country neighbors. So it seems like BC and Washington are very much alike, as are Montana and Alberta, etc.

So since we here in the Pacific Northwest don't exactly see eye to eye with our benevolent overlords in Washington right now, and historically haven't, maybe there's a parallel?

Alberta wants to hold a referendum to separate from Canada, but also wants to build more pipelines running through B.C. It is a big issue this week.  Also, there is a court case going on in B.C. about indigenous rights overriding Crown property.  A nice time to get away to the States!

On any given day, we have ten times more crap going on than you do, and people aren't politely disagreeing; they're shooting at each other. So this doesn't seem like the place for a peaceful getaway to me :)

But if you're going to Washington or Oregon, this is the perfect time of year to be here, especially since with our all-time low snowpack, the whole place might go up in flames come July.

Speaking of breaking away, I want BC to join Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, and California to form the new nation of Pacifica. We'd kick the world's ass.
