Honestly, I have given up on this Shithole country.

kevin, if I was babbling, what did I say that was wrong?  I quoted one study.  There are numerous studies that have shown the same thing.

As usual when faced with the facts you ignore the facts.

It's pointless to explain to someone who's babbling why they shouldn't be babbling. It's like trying to explain to a dog why it shouldn't be barking.

Kevin, what in the study that Tom offers in inaccurate?

I don't know, since he didn't provide the actual study. What I do know is that it was utterly irrelevant to the topic discussed. He mentioned a few countries that scored low on some kind of wealth index and/or democracy index. So bloody what? What does that have to do with what PJ said?

Tom's thinking processes are clouded--often badly--and he is inarticulate. Thus--babbling.

As usual when kevin doesn't have answer he resorts to insults.  He more than welcome to explain why it is a good idea to move to region of the world that is poorer & less democratic.

Yeah thats pretty much his M O, I called him on it and all I got from him were insults and rants against Republicans, he says his exit strategy is to move up north of the border but I have my doubts he would be happy living anywhere, it's sad that he has so much hatred towards his fellow man

Yes Kevin is a very bitter person who seems to have no joy or peace in his life, please pray for him

Poor old DonDiego doesn't know f'rsure if this is the Credit Suisse study referenced above, . . . but it's pr'bly pretty close:

Countries by Total Wealth

[There's also a pie-chart on the page that's a cool graphic of worldwide wealth distribution.]

Not towards my fellow man. Towards people who are bigots, racists, crooks, thieves, and liars.

In other words, Republicans.

"Seems to" being the operative phrase here. You actually don't know diddly-squat about me. But feel free to say ignorant things about me--this is the Sink, after all!

I would rather you expend the energy of praying for me on something useful, like maybe donating a nickel to a homeless shelter.

There is a factor not considered in the Credit Suisse report: stability of government and the extent to which it serves the people. We would score quite low, due to a disturbingly high percentage of not only rank-and-file citizens but actually high-level government officials fervently believing in conspiracy theories such as magical voting machines, Jewish space lasers, and Democrats eating babies while a secret pedophile ring seeks to enslave the galaxy (I may not be up on the latest details).

There is also the issue of income and wealth inequality. We are increasingly becoming a nation of underlings who serve and are dominated by a small group of oligarchs. The total wealth of a country is meaningless if only the top 1% get to enjoy it. That's why the US is only a so-so place to live, unless, of course, you happen to be in that 1%.
