Your post (and maybe mine as well) may have left readers with short memories with the false impression that there was no Pizzagate conspiracy theory  promulgated by Infowars, Alex Jones, Hannity etc. There was. It had serious consequences as one Infowars/Hannity fan subsequently shot-up the store while another tried to torch it. No joke.

The latest theory by conservative Trump-loving Q's is that COVID-19 is something Trump is purposely doing as part of the "Storm" to take out liberals, Hollywood elites and George Soros who are all involved in a global pedophile ring. They say Pizzagate was just the tip of the iceberg.  

I see that all of you meatheads are having a gay old time mouthing off while people throughout the world are dying. But then again, that is what you do.

If Hannity, etc. batted it around, it's a 100% certainty that it was utter bullshit. You know why it's called a conspiracy theory? Because it's some conservative loony bird's theory, not something real.

The current conservative conspiracy theory is that the coronavirus is an "escaped" bioweapon (presumably, it dug a tunnel through the wall of its cell) from the malevolent lab of death in Wuhan. Of course, that ignores the fact that a bioweapon that kills maybe 1% of its victims, and primarily the elderly at that, isn't much of a weapon. It's like a gun that misses 99% of the time.

But the ridiculous implausibility of a conspiracy theory is no obstacle to its promulgation. For conservatives, if it sounds good, accept it with open arms. The DEEEEEP STAAAAATE is everywhere, y'know! And to those of you who say, "Horse pucky! There is no Deep State!" I say, that's just what they want you to think, bwahahahahaaaa!

And what Stalker is doing is selflessly providing us with the unvarnished truth, and in as felicitous and engaging a manner as possible! (And for those of you rolling on the floor laughing, don't worry, I used too many big words for him to understand what I said.)

Charles makes a good point in that the CDC (a govt agency) had trouble rolling out the tests. But the Stooges want total govt control of our health care. 

But it has been private industry that is filling the void. 

The CDC itself didn't manufacture the kits. Private industry (I don't know exactly who) did--contracting with the government to do so. The CDC doesn't manufacture drugs or medical equipment. I would expect that you knew that.

The problem illustrates why "total govt control" of health care is mandatory. There was a lack of such control in getting the kits made. No central authority, thanks to Trump's destruction of the pandemic team and his own personal neglect. No order was given to ramp up test kit manufacture until two months after the need became apparent. Private industry was left on its own--and of course, because private industry is for-profit and there was no one to sell the kits to, they didn't do it.

The CDC developed the tests & insisted on only using those tests. 

What's your point? Were you trying to say that that proves how horrible government-provided health care is? That's quite a stretch, even for you.

I'd like to point out that without that horrible, horrible goverment health care, it would cost roughly $1300 to get a test kit and pay a lab to process it.

How about the theory that since the elderly have most of the savings and will be wasting it on end of life care, not to mention the cost of future social security payments, it would be wise to kill them off, save the payments, and transfer the wealth?
