Putting Chicago violence in perspective

There are plenty of nice and safe parts of Chicago.  Then there is the hood.  Gary is almost 100% hood.  You're talking apples and oranges and you know it.

Boiler, we know you hate Black people. We know you hate liberals. We know you hate anybody who doesn't agree with you. Chicago has all three, and is therefore hell on earth for you. I suggest you don't vacation there.

Your conservative fantasy thinking is polluted by those hatreds, and therefore worse than useless.

Once again, Kevin appears to be stuck on stupid.......I'm obviously conservative.  I'm the one advocating for help for Chicagoans!  They need help, they deserve help, and the politicians just turn their backs to them.  Take the politics out of it, Chicagoans need help desparately, and they are not getting it.  How many murders are acceptable?  Today the number is 605.....with warmer weather predicted for the weekend, there will be more.  When does somebody step in and actually do something?  Or is it that these mostly black lives don't matter?

You just got done talkng to us about the massive gun-violence-uprising in Las Vegas - in the most gun friendly state in the country.   This is also the state where the Mandalay Bay massacre took place.   Where were all the "good guys with guns" to scare away the "bad guys with guns"?   DId you bring your gun to scare away the bad guys?

Or can we state the obvious fact that whole narrative is bullshit? 

You're advocating for help for WHITE Chicagoans--to save them from all those rampaging Black people.

Otherwise, you'd be advocating for actual societal reform. Believe me, I know conservative code-talking. It's just racism in a different package. I don't know what your actual beliefs are, other than that you say you're a conservative (and BTW dude, being a conservative is the most egregious way of being "stuck on stupid" there is), but I know that faux outrage about Chicago being RUN BY DEMOCRATS and FULL O' LIBURRULS isn't going to produce any kind of solution.

You want to actually help the situation? Address the underlying causes of the violence. I'll even help you. In the 1920s, Chicago was a very violent place. The vast majority of the perpetrators and victims were White. What are the similarities between then and now?

If you want to solve gun violence in inner city Chicago you should consult the Home Owners Administration of your local Del Webb  golf course community...or LVFritz

We're on page 6 of this thread and LVFritz's only contribution to his own thread on resolving Chicago violence is to complain about Democrats and demand other people answer how to fix the problem.

The TDS crowd continues to make stuff up. According to Wbez the Chicago homicide rate in the 20's was 12 per 100,000. 

Today the rate is double that. The black homicide rate is 112

Clearly, there are some real ignorant people on this thread.  I'll have my say and then leave the senselessness to Stuck on Stupid and PJ.  First, to the babblings of Stuck on Stupid Kevin.  What really shows that you haven't a clue on this subject is that of 605 murders in Chicago this year up to today, according to the Sun Times, 47 victims have been white.  I know that that doesn't fit the narrative box that you'd like to put me in because I'm clearly for the people of Chicago, black, brown, white or other.  The fact that the leaders in this case happen to be Democrats does not matter to me in the least.  I would simply like to see the killings stop.

PJ, I know reading is a skill that you are not particularly good at, so my solution early in the thread was to bring in the National Guard to stop the killings.  I know, you can't bring in the Guard, it's an election year!

By next week when I check to see where idiots take this thread, how many more folks will be dead or seriously injured?

Is it even legal to have the National Guard act as pseudo-police without permission from local government? Is it the most asinine idea on the face of planet Earth?)
