That isn't a meaningful comparison at all. Mass murder by a regime isn't remotely the same thing as disrespectful assholery by a national leader. And there has been PLENTY of criticism of how Iran treats its citizens, so if you have to ask that question, you must have been hiding under a rock for the last couple of decades.

Do you realize that your first two sentences directly contradict each other?

I'd have a lot more respect for David, Tom, and their kind if they said something like "OK, this time he's gone too far." But they feel strangely compelled to defend every single awful thing Trump does.

I predict that when Trump posts videos of himself raping teenage girls kidnapped by ICE and taken to the White House, they'll express their enthusiastic approval for that as well.

Thanks for adding to my earlier post about Trump lacking any sort of humanity; calling dead Veterans suckers and losers, mocking the reporter with CP, ridiculing McCain who survived enemy capture and torture, inexcusable.  Abominable.  And how it looks to the leaders of other countries who mourn their own honored dead.  As in "Damn, the US president hates his own citizens!" 

It all goes into perception.  I have perception, everyone has perception.  Whether Trump's accomplishments 'trump' those behaviors I/we find disgusting, his abhorrent behavior is watched world wide, and it matters.  Again, it matters, IMHO.  Embarrassing if nothing else.

For Christ's sake, at least have the balls to own up to what you do.

His favorite "defense" (he's used it literally hundreds of times!) is his "where was the belch grunt snort," wherein he tries to justify a Trump action by dredging up some prior event and implying it was similar, then claiming (falsely) that no one complained about it.

But to emphasize how stupid stupid Tom really is, what difference would that make even if it were true? How would that excuse Trump's horrid actions? He should ask David. At David's rape trial, his defense was that last week, an accused rapist was acquitted, so he should go free as well.

Side note: David was in fact acquitted, but he got two years' contempt of court for calling the judge obtuse and a liar and screaming TDS TDS TDS at him. This extended David's visit to California a little longer than he had planned.
