Okay here is my personal take on all of this.

If we ever design a car that gets 400 MPG big oil will charge $100.00 a gallon for fuel.

The other thing is, be it right or wrong, when the gentleman that is profiled in the article writes this, it is hard for me to take him or his invention seriously.

I mean even if he is in the right why post that on your website.

Here is a little of what he posted.

I have been out of commission for the past five years due to a wrongful/illegal conviction/sentence for being in possession of a firearm at my home where I was sleeping 8 hours of a supposed 10 hour standoff. The fact that Indiana is a state that restores the right to bear arms if convicted of a felony (unless the conviction was domestic battery) was not accepted by the court in Charlotte County Florida where the alleged incident took place. I intend to seek an attorney or firm to bring suite against the state of Florida, etc. for the violation of the Brady Act that caused me to be incarcerated for the past five years. But because of that action, I am unable to retain any such assistance until I am able to get the AVFS situated in a profitable manner; of which I am in need of financial assistance to get accomplished also, along with obtaining a place to live. No garage or access to a place for doing any further development of the AVFS is available at this time, but will hopefully come to a prompt end so I will be able to start getting the results that WILL follow when I am able to present the difference that the AVFS makes when adapted to an engine operating generators. My intention is to keep a focus on applying the AVFS on generator applications.

Okay call me narrow minded but for me it is just hard to take him seriously.

It's hard to take serious any of those eccentric long gray haired engineer types. They're just looking for attention.
It will be confirmed that there is, nor will there be a 400 mpg car from this guy. I am equally narrow minded, and equally correct.

Especially when they think their tomato farm is better than mine. (Tee He Ho Ho Ha Ha)
Smokey Yunick's hot-vapor (adiabatic) engine from 1984 developed 1.8 horsepower per cubic inch and got 51 MPG in his Fiero that went from 0-60 in under 6 seconds. This was all without computer control or direct injection but used a carburetor with his other special parts! This technology is being seriously looked at again.

Hot Rod article here:

Hot Vapor engine

Popular Science story here (on page 84):

Pop-Sci Story
I do remember an episode of the colony where they came up with a vapor powered engine.

If I recall auto shop class, the temp of the fuel/air mixture is raised by use of the venturi effect that happens inside the carb.

Can we use Forkies hot air to power a car????
I remember Smokey Yunick from what seems like a past life.

There were those that I grew up with that I consider true "hot rodders". Some of them fairly worshiped the Smokey "team". Others thought he was nothing more than a cheat and con artist. (I think he was kicked out of NASCAR) He was obviously very smart and a good mechanic but most of his claims could not be independently verified or even repeated.

A close correlation could be made to Tesla. I bet there are some on this very forum who believe everything that Tesla ever tried to sell was absolutely true.
