5th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge!

And with that.....we reach the half way point of the season, with the brown weenie, Mr. Roscoe taking a commanding 2 win lead, and one paw step closer to locking up those cookie bones! heh heh

****Time for an update after week #8 ****

Roscoe extended his new win streak to 2 in a row with his easy win, featuring the Patriots in a real old fashioned ass whipping of the shitty RAMS. They won BIG! Just like Roscoe said they would!

Blackjack pooped his 3rd loss in a row as the Packers win, but did not come close to covering that 14.5 point spread. Tough break BlackJack!

Roscoe took advantage of the loss, and extends his first place lead in this puppy contest

The standings after week 8 are:

1st place Roscoe with a record of 6-2

1st place Blackjack with a record of 4-4

Good luck on this coming weekends action boys.

Its going to be a short day for me today, so I better get my pick in, before they take me to the vets for shots, and then I forget all about this contest.

This week, I am going with the Green Bay Packers minus 10.5 points over the lowly Arizona Cardinals.

The Packer defense is going to swarm all over the red birds quarterback, and put him on his back, at least 6 times. The Arizona offensive line is like Swiss cheese...too many holes.

Discount Double check boy, has been looking really sharp, in his last few games, and is going to have a field day against the Cardinals.

This should be a 20 point blow out!

Easy money on the Pack this weekend! $$$$

Good luck to all of those who are making this weenie-wager this weekend. I am hoping to extend my lead on brother black jack once more.

Good luck to B-J as well!

I am on a losing streak so no braggadocio this week. Without fanfare, I am taking the NY Giants (minus-3) against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers.
We are now, past the half way point of the season, the brown weenie, Mr. Roscoe taking a commanding 3 win lead, and one paw step closer to locking up those cookie bones! heh heh

Poor Blackjack...he can't seem to connect on a winner right now!

****Time for an update after week #9 ****

Roscoe extended his new win streak to 3 in a row with his easy win, featuring the Packers in a real old fashioned ass whipping of the shitty Cardinals. They won BIG! Just like Roscoe said they would!

Blackjack pooped his 4th loss in a row as the Giants got whipped by the Steelers. Tough break BlackJack!

Roscoe took advantage of the loss, and extends his first place lead in this puppy contest

The standings after week 9 are:

1st place Roscoe with a record of 7-2

2nd place Blackjack with a record of 4-5

Good luck on this coming weekends action boys.

Rizzo, sure wish you would update the Nascar pool like you do this one.
Soooooooo flying in the same day of the didn't prove to detrimental to the Steelers, did it? The second half is the. Best I have seen Pittsburgh play in a long time.

It's time to recover and I have just the pick to get my weenie butt back on track.

I am taking the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Oakland Raiders by more than 7 1/2 points. Here is the deal: The Raiders are not a good road team. And this week they are expected to be without their top offensive weapon, Darren McFadden. Back-up running back Mike Goodson is also likely to miss the game. That leaves unproven Taiwan Jones (1 carry, 2 yards) and Marcel Reese (1 carry, 0 yards) to fuel the running game. This could make the Raiders one-dimensional and allow Terrell Suggs and Company to tee off on Carson Palmer.

Bet the Ravens minus-7 1/2 points this week.

Good luck everybody. Good luck Roscoe. You are going to need it!
This week, I am going with another sure fire, weenie dog, winning pick!

The Giants took a bad loss last week, and I expect them to rebound this week, in a BIG WAY.

I am taking the New York Giants minus 4 points over the Cincinatti Bengals.

The Bengals are strong, but have shown signs of weakness, and the Giants offense is just going to be too much for them this weekend.

Take the G-Men, in a BIG way, extend my winning streak +1 more time baby!!

Good luck to all of those making this weenie wager.

--Roscoe

I'm thinking that as convincingly as the Ravens won their game (by 32 points) and how bad the favored Giants lost their game to the Bengals, I am thinking this should qualify for two wins for me and two losses for Roscoe. Woof!
Sorry...I haven't had a chance to update this thread....work has got me really busy rt now!

****Time for an update after week #9 ****

Roscoe ended his win streak at 3 in a row with his tough loss on the Giants! They got their butts whipped bad!

Blackjack finally ended his losing streak, and started a winning one, after the Ravens beat the cheese out of the lowly Raiders

The standings after week 10 are:

1st place Roscoe with a record of 7-3

2nd place Blackjack with a record of 5-5

Good luck on this coming weekends action boys.

At this moment, 3:13 p.m. on Thursday all of the lines have Atlanta favored by 10 points, except the book of record for the Weenie Challenge, the Las Vegas Hilton, which spots Arizona 9 1/2 points.

Before that line moves to 10 with the others, I am going to jump on Atlanta minus-9 1/2 points. The Falcons will come flying back after a tough loss to the Saints. And I don't have to tell you the Arizona Cardinals are in free fall mode, losing five straight, and are seldom close.

Atlanta minus-9 1/2. What do you have, Roscoe?
