5th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge!

Sorry I am tardy with my pick this week. But the tragedy back east in Connecticut tied up Friedmush all day and I don't have his password for the computer. But this is a pick worth waiting for.

I am taking the Indianapolis Colts plus 10 points against the Houston Texans. The line opened at 8 points, but there has been so much action on Houston that the spread has moved to 10. That's a real good line for the underdog. Go Indy plus-10 points.

Good luck, everyone!
****Time for an update after week #15 ****

This week, the pups had mixed results....one dog winning and one dog losing.

Roscoe ended his losing streak with a solid pick on the Broncos, who made quick work of the banged up Ravens!

Blackjack extended his losing streak, by one more as his Colts pick got spanked by the Texans, and those +10 points did not help, one bit

The standings after week 15 are:

1st place Roscoe with a record of 10-5

2nd place Blackjack with a record of 6-9

With a 4 win lead, and only a few weeks left to play....Blackjack is going to need winners every week to end the season, and also needs Roscoe to lose all the way out. Good luck with that B-J !

Good luck on this coming weekends action boys.

My streak of bad luck continued last week when Indy kicked a meaningless field goal with one minute left to beat the 8-point spread. Another week Shonn Greene takes a knee on the 1-yard line instead of scoring with just under 2 minutes left. Just not my year.

Nevertheless, I can still spot a winner. This week I am taking the New England Patriots and spotting the Jacksonville Jaguars 14 1/2 points. Yeah, the spread is huge, but this is a classic mismatch.

Happy holidays to everyone!
Time to extend my lead on brother blackjack!

This week, I am going with a rock solid winner. I am taking the Pittsburgh Steelers minus 3.5 points over the Cincinatti Bengals.

Andy Dalton is O for 3 against the Steelers, and performs rather shitty, when facing this team. It seems the Steelers have his number, and he can't do anything about it.

Steelers need this win, and always find a way to win on "must win" games.

This is easy money...take that to the bank.

Good luck and Merry X-mas to all.

****Time for an update after week #16 ****

This week, the pups, both farted out a loser

Roscoe started a new losing streak with a bum pick on the Stellers, and they lost to the Bengals by 3 points

Blackjack extended his losing streak, by one more as his Patriots pick did win, but did not come close to coverint that huge spread!

The standings after week 16 are:

1st place Roscoe with a record of 10-6

2nd place Blackjack with a record of 6-10

Good luck on this coming weekends action boys.

Limping to the finish line. My strategy of favorites covering the spread has been misguided.

This week I will take the under-41 1/2 with Tennessee and Jacksonville. Two crummy offenses on two teams that will be mailing it in this week will do well to top out at 37 or 38 points.

Good luck Roscoe and everyone!
Jets to beat Bills. Bills after Miami game is HORRIBLE ATS! Take it to the bank!
OK....I farted a loser last week, but the good news is that brother B-J didn't gain any ground on me!

My season record is still pretty damn good, but I am going to make it better this week.

My pick for the week is the Chicago Bears minius 3 points over the Detroit "Stinky" Lions.

The Lions defense, is no longer what it was at the beginning of the season, but the Chicago Bears defense is primed and ready...and they score points!

This should be a hard fought game, but the Bears will come out with the win, by at least 7 points!

Take that, to the BANK!

Good luck to all of those who are making these weenie wagers this weekend.

Happy New year to all.

So you two extending this dog fight into the playoffs????
****Time for an update after week #17 ****

This week, the pups, both farted out a loser

Roscoe extended his losing streak, to two, with a bum pick on the Bears, as they did win the game, but did not cover the spread, by one point!

Blackjack extended his losing streak, by one more as his UNDER pick , came out well over

The standings after week 17 are:

1st place Roscoe with a record of 10-7

2nd place Blackjack with a record of 6-11

With only 3 weeks of "playoff games" to go, and Roscoe holding on to a 4 win lead, its safe to say that this contest is over, however, the pooches will continue to make selections, and implore their over all records.

I had a message from BlackJack's owner (friedmush) and he informs me that the cookie bone basket for Roscoe has been purchased and will be delivered this afternoon!

Thanks to B-J and Mush for being swell people, and for keeping the competition exciting!

I will be sure to post some new pics, of Roscoe tearing into those treats, on this thread. Stay tuned for that.

Good luck on this coming weekends action boys.
