Bob Dancer's most current column

#1 Why do some of us quote a quote of a quote of a quote of a quote?

#2 Dancer has written questionable columns in the past, including some references to his SO.

#3 Stealing the breakfast is obviously a DB move. Maybe he doesn't care if we know he's a DB.

#4 Comparing the stolen breakfast to the toiletries VOLUNTARILY FURNISHED to guests goes beyond DB to unrepentant DB.

I don't need a theoretical. I've already stated in a previous thread that I thought what Dancer did was petty and wrong.

See what I did there? I didn't get all emotional and say that this proved Dancer was a horrible person, a fraud, and deserved to be victimized by criminals. I just made a rational statement. But what I've defended was Dancer's observation that everyone does this sort of thing, even his critics. And I would guess, especially his critics.

So how many quarter video poker players here would pay taxes on their yearly winnings in the absence of any W-2G's? If your guess is higher than zero, I think you're wrong. And that's a federal crime. (No one here seems to have the huevos to answer this question here.)

And does Jean Scott deserve to be cheated out of money also? She is a serial buffet doggy bag smuggler, and even advocates that her readers do it. And it's theft.

Ever notice how it is the egotistic know-it-alls who like to say it is alright to steal, just because they say everyone does? Moral less blowhards, all of them.

How is it you have so much time to post here? I figure you to spend most of your waking hours peering out your window so you can scream "YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!!"

I don't disagree with your conclusion above, I just tire of your constant over-the-top rhetoric surrounding everything you post, and the fact that you only contribute to the forum when you can scream something. You may only see black and white in everything, but I can assure you there is a shade of gray as well.

Actually, you would be wrong. I have paid taxes for wins even though I didn't have any W2g's.

And for anyone that thinks I'm an idiot for doing so; screw you. Everyone has their own moral compass and does whatever he or she thinks is best. I'm not particularly concerned with people who don't pay it, and by the same token nobody should be concerned with someone who does.

You may only see black and white in everything, but I can assure you there is a shade of gray as well.---- ......... Well, where to begin. First off, I did not realize that I "scream" anything. I guess that is left up to personal interpretation. As for your "shade of grey" reference, I feel that that phrase describes most of where our troubles start. In life every choice we make boils down to yes-or-no, either you will or you won't. People who choose to live in the "grey" area seem to have many more troubles and problems. They whine, cajole, cuss and have a fit if others don't let them have their way or don't agree with them. I see no reason not to state the real facts and the truth. If you find my "screaming" postings unfavorable then just put me on ignore. I won't have a problem with that. Otherwise, expect more of the same from any future postings I make. Have a nice day.

Doc you are correct when you say every choice comes down to yes or no. I see most things as black or white but as I have grown older and I might add wiser I see more gray areas. Doc I respect your right to have a differing opinion but you might try being a little more open minded and accepting. You just might like it.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Our social values have degenerated to the point where we can't even agree that someone who steals food and cheats on his taxes (not because he's poor, but because he feels like it) should be punished.

The basic problem is that we, as a society, are failing to reward and punish behavior that deserves it.

it's OK to double book rooms on offers, pocket the $50 Free Play from the one you don't patronize (a much admired strategy by many LVAers);

What? Someone questioned the double booking scheme? LOL

Yeah, this never would have happened in the fifties.

Um, I agree. In the fifties, there were no DBs publishing columns about how they go around stealing breakfasts from hotels (and then publishing a followup that blamed the theft on everyone else). There would have been social consequences.
