Bob Dancer's most current column

Um, I agree. In the fifties, there were no DBs publishing columns about how they go around stealing breakfasts from hotels (and then publishing a followup that blamed the theft on everyone else). There would have been social consequences.
Jean Scott and her hubby are dirtbags??

Forkie's usual reply is: But Jean did it, but Bush did it, but Reagan did it. I don't think you fully understand the problem here. By the way, I know both Jean (not her real name) and Brad.

But I'm not really talking about Jean, or Bush, or Reagan, or Bob Dancer for that matter. I'm talking about people like YOU - who will excuse behavior in some instances and then condemn the same behavior in others when it suits them.

Every one of us does that to some degree, but Roulette Man, you seem to just about live and breathe it.

So then, everybody does it so what is wrong with Mr. Dancer doing it. If I'm writing books and columns about how to do well in VP, surely my credit doesn't take a hit when I admit to stealing fruit from a breakfast, right?

I asked you if in lieu of lifting the fruit in the breakfast room, if it would be any different if he shoplifted it at a gift shop. You of course dodged it, but my guess is Mr. Dancer wouldn't shop lift it. Both are basically the same infraction.

No, I've already stated my opinion that what Dancer did was wrong. But I didn't get all emotional and call him a dirtbag.

But if someone says that Dancer is a dirtbag, how can they argue that Jean Scott isn't?

Did Jean up and leave her husband in time of illness to go and find a new friend of the opposite sex to continue square dancing and being able to go into casinos?

If it was a mutual decision, then no, the dirtbag tag doesn't apply. But that's another argument, isn't it?

But are you saying that is Dancer a dirtbag for swiping food but Jean Scott is not for doing the same thing - and then recommending to her readers that they do the same? It's a real simple question; I don't see why you can't answer it.

The only person I see using the term "dirtbag" on this thread is you. You called Jean and her husband dirtbags.

Oh and the mutual decision thing was per Bob Dancer. Since Mr. Dancer fibbed on the fruit, do we know if he was being honest on separating from his wife and that it truly was a mutual decision?

Well since you now have your own version of reality, who am I to argue with you?

Did you want a square shovel or a pointed one for your continued digging? Seriously, you can't be that naive.
