Equality

I trust that you're offended because I point out the truth?

Anyone who knows me knows what great length I go to avoid reading or commenting on these nasty political threads. They are the demise of the LVA message boards. But I can't resist in this case. I find your comment to be highly offensive.

Who's getting a free house? Section 8 housing is filled to capacity and it's not so nice. You give someone free housing and they don't take care of it like it's theirs to own.
1,2 and 3 may all be true. To correct these past inequalities we now have policies which protect poor employees with minority status. A group of folks who used to be self sufficient and hard working are now less self sufficient and less hard working.

These policies hurt the very people they were intended to help. Increased expectations will help blacks in the long run.

I don't think you would like the results of such a study. It would likely show:

1. Negative impacts of centuries of slavery
2. Negative impacts of unequal access of educational and vocational training
3. Negative impact of a justice system with unequal outcomes based upon skin color.

To name but a few.

Why does anyone worry about what a company owner decided to spend his money on? You want to decide that?

Should also apply to those in elected office , who move freely from the private to public sectors and back , and who are active participants and beneficiaries in many of these "deals" . No ?

Well, the answer is both: he is an idiot AND a Racist POS. Of course, he would be the first to argue that there is no racism in the US any more. So that is a trifecta-- he is an idiot, a racist, and an obtuse POS.
We have racism withn the United States.

So, are you guys arguing that blacks and whites are exactly equal in education and work performance at typical company jobs? Does this equality of performance bleed over to include the NBA and NFL and, if so, why are white folk being discriminated against?

US Asians tend to be better at math than white folks. The reason for this is questionable, but it's true. Is this fact racist to point out.

Stating the truth is now racist? Wow, who thunk it? How do we fix problems if we're not allowed to talk about the problems?

Boilerman's version of "equality". I think we still have a very long way to go.
Yeah, he's mostly a racist, to me that's the most remarkable thing about Boilerman. Racist, and all the other mental problems that accompany that illness.

But his knowledge of economics is also incredibly shallow. Like a guy who went to two weeks of micro at a community college and called it good.

I do appreciate his candor, however. Lots of racists learn to conceal that affliction so that it has to be inferred. Boilerman's upfront about it.
A Chart of the Percent of Total Income which the Top-10-Percent of the Population Receives

[DonDiego is certain were the chart extended to 2014 the Top-1-Percent share in the USA would rise in response to Qualitative Easing from which those with lots of liquid assets can prosper.]

So, . . . what happened in the last quarter of the 20th Century?
And what's the likely future?

- Worker productivity went up. Worker income didn't.
- Investor tax rates fell below worker tax rates.
- High paying union jobs have disappeared to overseas sweatshops... and government regulations (and our tax code) reward companies for doing this.

Well, either all that or AMericans just got much lazier and like being on welfare or something.
