Equality

Since Obama argues that blacks are getting screwed because of income inequality, I suggest that we should look at all potential factors why blacks don't earn as much as whites. One of the reason is that as a group they're poor employees.

I work for a minority owned company, and at my company the "average" white employee runs circles around the "average" black employee. We have poor white employees and great black employees but the white group is far superior to the black group.

Thats rich. I'm curious how you came to your conclusion about whites being better workers than blacks if not on the basis of a "grand assumption". Does your company provide a statistical chart of productivity by race? Or is that a personal observation based on a grand assumption? Do tell.

While I'm completely ignorant of BM's observations/assertions, so I'm not endorsing or condoning(how could I?), I am pretty certain evryone of us has had a job and could quickly identify those who "work" and the slackers. I know I sure as shit have.

Me too. But I identify slackers based upon their work ethic...not by the color of their skin. I'm kinda funny that way.

I don't think you would like the results of such a study. It would likely show:

1. Negative impacts of centuries of slavery
2. Negative impacts of unequal access of educational and vocational training
3. Negative impact of a justice system with unequal outcomes based upon skin color.

To name but a few.

This confirms a lot.

About Boilerman.

BTW, Obama never "argues that blacks are getting screwed because of income inequality." He says income inequality disproportionately impacts African Americans. And he's right. It does.

Of course I'm sure you don't understand the huge difference between what he says and what you think he says.

Anyone who knows me knows what great length I go to avoid reading or commenting on these nasty political threads. They are the demise of the LVA message boards. But I can't resist in this case. I find your comment to be highly offensive.

As a group they are poor employees? Are you serious or just a fing idiot? Racist POS>

The CEOs of companies that behave like that deserve our contempt, not a raise,

Should also apply to those in elected office , who move freely from the private to public sectors and back , and who are active participants and beneficiaries in many of these "deals" . No ?

Bob
Inequality is a product of our insane system we call society or economics.

Case in point, just look at Vegas. North Las Vegas and downtown are full of homeless begging on the street while at the same time the valley is filled to the brim with empty houses and tons of food from buffets and restaurants rotting in the garbage or fed to pigs.

Why can't we do the sane thing and let the homeless live in empty houses and eat buffet leftovers? Because that would break the system we've created, we need the threat of inequality and poverty to motivate the rest of us to keep dealing blackjack and serving shrimp cocktails.

I hope that one day future generations will look at the mass inequality of our age and question what were they thinking? The same way we look back on the Spanish inquisition or the geocentric model of the universe.

If the homeless were given these empty houses, do you think they would maintain them and not let them run down? Do you think they would keep crime out of the neighborhood including drug dealing, meth labs, and prostitution?
Obama is playing to his base and telling them that if you don't make much money, "I'll get you more." He's not saying "I'll get you more if you are worth it. I'll make 'em pay you more."

Obama is not asking for equal pay for equal value employees.

Do nothing and get a free house and food, not much of an incentive for others to produce
