I had a delightful conversation with a health Insurance company rep this morning

815 or 850 versus 573 is an 11% difference? You are too funny.
$635 is 11% higher than $573.

People don't really pay you to do math, do they?

So what was the 815 and 850 that alanleroy mentioned?
Fiction.

Since you are Mr. Fiction and you claim it is fiction, isn't that a double negative?

NOTE: I doubt the alanleroys' internet skills. I don't doubt DonDiego's and Roulette Man's willingness to namecall.

Also, I pity that poor sack of shit having to catch a whiff of Mike Pence.

Gee why did you just make up aged 50 when we know they are 54 and 53?...and we know their kid(s) are mid twenties not 15. Hey if we can just make up our own facts, I think I'll make up my own ages for them...just like Chilly. They're both 55. They both smoke...and so does the kid. They'll pay 826 a month in Zip 60103. They'll pay a lot more in other Chicago area zip codes.

And no...we don't know that they smoke. And no we don't know that they don't smoke. We're beginning to get a better idea who the sacks of crap are though.

$815 is what smokers aged 54 and 53 with a kid who smokes pay for the cheapest Blue Cross health insurance plan in zip code 60018. This is about 20 miles away from Barlett where BM's friend lives...but hell forkie originally thought this was all about Indiana, not Illinois, so what's 20 miles among friends?

$850 is what BM's friend said was the cheapest policy he could find. It was so outrageous to forkush that he has called Boilerman a Liar and his friend Nick a despicable human being.

I think if you try a few more zip codes in the general area or make Nick and his wife a year or two older, you'll find you can easily spend $850 for a smoker's policy. More importantly if you use their real ages and say they smoke you get a number closer to Nick's than Forkush's. So it begs the question "Who is the sack of crap?" Well, in addition to myself that is. I actually went to a Halloween party dressed as a lying sack of shit one year.

So:
Boilerman's exact description
+ 3 smokers (you hope)
+ 20 miles away (for some reason)
+ $454 per year
= THE TRUTH!

Wow, alanleroy, you really want this one.

I needed no such gymnastics; I took Boilerman at his word, and when there was ambiguity about the county, I chose the numbers that were slightly disadvantageous to my argument. Maybe there's dental in there too - who knows. But I do know that the quote as stated is bogus - barring any "revisions."

Before Obamacare, kids that old couldn't be on their parents' insurance. So when comparing today's rates to the pre-Obamacare ones, don't forget to add the cost of a separate policy for Nick Jr.

Oh, and that coverage is tax-free, so factor that in too.

20 miles...Pfffft. You thought they were in Indiana originally. I thought Chicago. I was closer. You don't really know they don't smoke, do you? Why do you assume they don't smoke? Did he say that? Did you ask? Your number is more wrong than Boilerman's if you just admit the possibility they smoke. Does that make you a lying sack of crap?

Did you also notice the 'Blue PPO Bronze 006 Plan' that's offered? It's about 30% more expensive than the 'Blue Choice Bronze PPO 006'. Perhaps that's the plan they signed up for. Perhaps it was closer to their group plan benefits. I can very easily give him the benefit of the doubt. I can see how he can easily spend $850 a month if he smokes and depending on his exact zip code. You had no doubt. You make too many assumptions. I want Nick to come on the board and do a live chat with us to settle this once and for all.

Just to be safe I used age 19 for my quote....a smoker with 55 year old parents right there in good old 60103. $826 a month.

I have mad internet skillz. What's your excuse for using bogus ages?

Boilerman did NOT say that, that his friend was looking for the cheapest Obamacare policy. He didn't say that at all.

You need to re-read what Boilerman wrote in January, because he didn't write that.

You're wrong there too. At https://www.bcbsil.com/, male 54, female 53, male 25, all smokers in 60018 results in $789.16 for Blue Choice Bronze 006. So to revise, this time with added honesty:

Boilerman's exact description
+ 3 smokers (alanleroy really, really hopes)
+ 20 miles away (for some reason)
+ $768 per year
= THE TRUTH! (for alanleroy)
