I had a delightful conversation with a health Insurance company rep this morning

Chilcoot, do I now need to call Nick and ask him why his new family plan that costs him more and is worse than his previous plan? Should I explain to Nick that Forkie and Chilly believe that he should buy the cheaper plan that they suggest, pointing out that apparently cheaper must always be better.

I've always believed that value comes in many ways, only one being cost. Would Chilly please explain to us country bumpkins exactly what benefits are different in Nick's more expensive plan vs the cheaper plan that Chilly and Forkie believe provides maximum value.

Since you know which plan is the best for Nick, you must have done your research.

Whether we go with the forkie/chilly plan or the bolier plan neither plan is cheap, even though we were promised affordable plans under the AFFORDABLE care act
I don't know how you define cheap.

But the bronze Obamacare policy sold by Blue Cross/Blue Shield gives the family of Boilerman's friend Nick far superior coverage for far less money, and without the need to buy a second policy to cover their now-19 child.

Once again Forkie, Nick does not have the plan you continue to cut and past.

Illinois families who earn less than $78,000 a year qualify for premium subsidies. So someone who makes $50k won't pay $6,600 in premiums...
And what would the Nick* family pay per month if their income was $50,000? I'm glad you asked!

*still a lying sack

To clarify, Nicks premiums are not $6600 per year, but instead about $10,000. His deductible is $12,700. Don't believe the inaccurate information that Forkie and Chilly continue to parade around.

I'll tell you something else once you start incurring hundreds of thousands a year in medical bills you will be surprised to find out how much over and beyond that $12,700 you will pay.

For instance my wife is supposed to be discharged from the hospital by this weekend. The doctors at the hospital say she needs home health care and supposedly Obamacare says it pays for this, but the reality is much different. The hospital social worker has called all the places they normally send patients to for home healthcare, but has yet to find a home healthcare agency that is in Network for Obamacare.

Chilly you have been debating with boiler about policies when you include the deductible that cost at least 15,000 per year. That is not cheap.
"At least $15,000 per year"? How do you figure?

The Illinois BCBS policies we've been discussing cost $6,600 a year. They also have a $6,000 deductible per person ($12,700 per family), with 100% coinsurance. After these amounts, all the treatment for the rest of the policy period is free. And there's no separate outpatient drug deductible.

This is a great example of the value, or poor value in this case, that Obamacare will provide. Another expensive and crappy Obama project.

Here is part of Chilcoots quote. "I guess the question gets down to the value of health insurance."

Those who don't like the "value" that Obamacare offers have it forced on them via fines. Of course, Liberals always believe that they know what's best for others.

The bill by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah., seeks to reinstate federal law to prohibit “all forms of Internet gambling.”

Because Republicans know what's best for everyone.

The plan I've been citing meets EVERY SINGLE CRITERIA Nick specified in his original email dishonestly blasting ObamaCare. If he had said something like, "I found these features in policies ranging from $573 to $853," Nick would be an honest man.

But he didn't, and he isn't.

And here I thought you were calling Nick a scumbag lying sack of crap because you thought he lied about spending 850 a month on a Blue Shield Bronze PPO 006 Policy. So, in reality you called him that because you think he's a bad shopper?

For some shoppers, physician choice plays a role in judging compatibility. Maybe Nick wanted to keep his Doctor....Period. Makes more sense than a Chicago Smoker or calling Nick a dishonest slime bag. I bet Nick is a Stand Up guy. I'm sure he'll forgive you if you ask him.

"Makes More sense than a Chicago Smoker!!"...I may have to make this my new sig line..

He's not a bad shopper; he shopped for a different policy that better met his needs. But then he blamed that $280 up charge not on his additional undisclosed needs, but on Obamacare.

If the Obamacare horror stories were real, people wouldn't need to invent this crap.

But really, how can you say the policies are 'comparable' if one forces him to lose his doctor...the doctor that may have delivered his babies or treated his kids for parasites or ordered his gender reassignment surgery? Just because YOU didn't know all the criteria poor Nick used to deem the policies 'comparable', doesn't make him a scum sucking slimebag.

Now if he was comparing a 'Gold' plan to his old one, you would have a case. Maybe he bought it through a broker or an agent and that was the only Bronze Plan they offered him. Let's get real though. You attacked poor Nick only because you thought he was lying about the cost of his Bronze PPO 006 Plan....and he wasn't. The sooner you can admit that and make it right with Nick, the sooner you'll feel better about your actions.

Now DonDiego is gettin' real, real sad. He hopes someone arranges some sorta charity concert for poor, old Nick, . . . preferably with beer-tasting on the side, . . .

. . . and a good dusting for parasites for any kids in attendance.
