Non-Vegas......Obama warns Russia

PJ, if you are arguing that Obama's foreign policies have largely been a success, that's laughable.

His foreign policy has yielded far more results with far fewer dollars and casualties than his predecessor. If you want to laugh at that, have at it. Democrats laughed all the way to victory in 2008/2012 on that foreign policy philosophy.

I dont believe all of the world's problems are the US's to solve. Neither did most Republicans until Dick Cheney scared them into believeing Sadam Hussein was on the verge of nuking the US. If you want to see all turmoil in the world as a reflection of weak US leadership then be my guest. Good luck selling that viewpoint in any near future election. John McCain still sells that crap. He's become a punchline on the Sunday Morning shows.
obama's intl success stories

1) iran buildsinga bomb
2) Egypt in chaos, radical govt he supported, overthrown
3) Libya in chaos, Americans killed in embassy
4) N. Korea works on their bomb
5) says Assad should go; still there
6) Iraq collapsing, requests for assistance denied
7) China becoming more agressive
8) Russia invades the Ukraine
9) Russia shoots down a civilian airliner
10) Israel/Hamas at war, kerry blown off by BOTH sides
Bush is no longer in office PJ. We're discussing our current events and what can be done today to improve our position in the World tomorrow.

I'm not talking about Bush. I'm talking about you and your blatant hypocrisy on this topic. Add Hoops and DonDiego to the list too.

There was no shortage of world problems and conflict prior to this administration. But like on so many other topics you use a different scale to measure the current administration. You now claim every conflict in the world is a reflection of a weak US president...and somehow his fault.

How amusing you did not apply this same principal to the 911 attack...or Putin's invasion of Georgia...or North Korea's bomb building under Bush...or terrorist attacks on US embassies under Bush...or Palestinian/Israel conflict under Bush.

If you cant apply your same principals across the board then you are simply not a serious commentator on this subject. And if your only alternative in policy is some nebulous economic plan that takes over a decade to implement (presuming the EU is even interested) only proves my point.

Liberals think doing nothing is a success.
Your first sentence of PJ's post reads "His foreign policy has yielded far more results with far fewer dollars and casualties than his predecessor. If you want to laugh at that, have at it." Apparently I jumped to an incorrect conclusion that where not referring to President Obama's predecessor................George W Bush?

PJ, I've posted numerous times on this site that we made a mistake going into Iraq with George W.

Can we now discuss current events, and Obama's history of making idle threats?

No, because you ignored my point.

Tell you what.... Tell me that you believe the 911 attack against the US was the result of having a limped- dick president Because that's your explanation of all world conflict that has occurred under Obama.

I'll (of course) disagree but respect you more for having a consistent point of view. Otherwise I cant take you seriously.

911 was a result of politicians on both sides of the aisle not appreciating the seriousness of the Islamic threat.

Now pjstroh is trying to hurt poor old DonDiego's feelings.

DonDiego supposes more would be gained by the Forum members with a calm, deliberate discussion of the issues, . . . as opposed to categorizing the posters unpleasantly, or even calling them names.

There are lots of current military conflicts worldwide, . . . and few, if any, are likely to advance US interests. The Obama accusing President Putin of violating the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty seems to poor old DonDiego like He's just trying to change the subject.
Russia has denied the charge. DonDiego supposes the likely outcome, after some theatrical expressions of disapprobation, will be, . . . nothing at all.
