Other than one small riot that I instigated, I never caused any trouble at school. No one ever cursed at a teacher.

Watching the video really sickens me. It also makes me realize how fortunate I am to have been raised by parents who taught me to respect others. The kids in the video should be ashamed of themselves, but not nearly as much as their parents should be.

In elementary school once little DonDiego made a list of all the monsters which he'd ever seen in movies or on TV, . . . and he included Mrs. Bartch, his teacher, on the list. She saw the list. She informed DonDiego's parents. DonDiego was forced to write "My teacher is not a monster" on paper 500 times. DonDiego was forcibly marched to school to apologize.
DonDiego learned his lesson.

But, . . . back to Mrs. Klein:

The kids have apologized.

The Fund for Mrs. Klein's Retirement now exceeds $half-a-million.

SouthWest Airlines has offered Mrs. Klein an all-expenses paid trip for nine people to Disneyland. The Walt Disney Co. made the same offer for Disney World.

All's well that ends well.

Oh wait! One time little DonDiego was thrown out of the movie theater in his small town. He'd actually done nothing wrong, . . . but he was hanging with a bad crowd.

Methinks that Mrs. Klein won't be taking any of her abusers to Disney on that trip.
This whole incident just underscores the declining lack of respect that exists nowadays. I thank God that my son (who just graduated from hs) has always been respectful, but wonder just how much I had to do with that - could I have done everything the same and he turned out like one of those brats in the video? Some studies have shown that parents have less influence over their kids than the kids' peers. Scary.
