And how does their civil war impact OUR security? I've felt quite secure trough the whole mess so far. While I feel sorry for the loss of life over there and all the suffering the population has to deal with, it just isn't for us to settle. If we become involved the result will be the same as it always is over there. After we stop the main fighting there will be a half dozen different groups fighting for control and blowing up whatever is left in the name of whatever they think is right at the moment. Sound familiar?
I think the American people have just about had it with the role of the worlds policeman. I know I sure have! We have bled enough for everyone else for a while. It's time to get the hell out of the Arabs business for a while. They don't want us and we sure don't need them.
Besides, when was the last time you were sleepless worried about an attack from Syria? Really?!

I will add one more. What is Bashar Assad was not behind the chemical attacks? What if it were the rebels themselves trying to pull the US into the war? Sarin gas is a chemical weapon that almost anyone can make. We know it was used, but we do not know for sure who was behind it. What if it was NOT Assad? This is what Russia claims. What if they are right?

I thought of that myself. I doubt I'll ever fully trust whatever comes out of the govt.'s mouth again particularly the pres. Also, say we go in ,bomb the shit out of them, cause a huge political and power vacuum, what comes of all those [ahem] chemical weapons? What's to say the al-quea rebels turn around and use them against the US? I'm sure they would get some sort of twisted satisfaction outta that.
Last thing I beleived from Obama(no reason not to at the time) was that the attack on the Libyan embassy was because of some video. I choose to believe onr thing from the guy in a long time and it's that and I'm embarrassed to even say that. Never again.
