Dude, folks with pre-existing stage 3 and 4 cancer can't even buy insurance today, and you know, I bet they have loved ones too. But they will be able to get health insurance, beginning January 1, 2014, thanks to Obamacare.

And yeah, I am sorry that the wealthy San Diego woman who will have to choose between UCSD and Stanford Medical, instead of getting both, but I'm not nearly as sorry as I am for those I described above...and their loved ones.

I'm talking about preexisting insurance. But there you go again twisting words.

Hahaha, right.

We're saying that people who have stage 3 or 4 cancer and

1. whose current policies are about to expire can either renew those policies, if they meet the standards of the new law or are grandfathered, or get a new one confident that the insurer can no longer deny them due to a pre-existing condition;

and

2. who don't have insurance can now buy some, and at a much lower price, despite the cancer and the fact that the insurer's about to pay out a lot of benefits.

Win win for sick Americans.
A List of Things that Roulette Man Doesn't Seem to Understand
(an occasional series):

56. Health insurance policies purchased on the open market all have a policy term, with specific beginning and ending dates.

57. Before Obamacare, an insurer could decline to renew a health insurance policy purchased on the open market because the person to be covered was sick.

58. Before Obamacare, lots of insurers got away with selling stuff that they called "health insurance" that didn't pay for hospitalization or cancer treatments like chemotherapy.

Certain to be continued . . . .

Poor old Chilcoot. i at one time thought it was a she. Now I think it might just be an ostrich who is talented enough to write. Or on the other hand, maybe Chilcoot is a cosmetics representative who sells cosmetics to various swine.

You must have missed my second paragraph.

I'm sure you feel you are on a righteous mission, let us hope you nor a family member gets screwed over by this. I just wish you weren't always so disingenuous.

Yeah, I get that you have anger issues. But did you read the second paragraph?

You just proved my point. Take the night off and go have some of that naked sushi they talk about in the Las Vegas shorts.

Yes, we know we know, you've mentioned for about the tenth time at least. Say something once and post when you have something new to add.

How about:

  • In it's first months Medicare Part D hadn't gone well, or...
  • In it's first month, the Iraq War appeared to be going well, or...
  • In it's first months, the Apple Macintosh hadn't done well, or...

...well you get the picture. Or do you? (I always try to be optimistic about such things!)

  • Something new AND pertinent to the conversation. I swear forkie, you are the master of deflection, twisting meanings and just plain ol' BS, my hats off to you.
