There you go conservatives: Obamacare is failing

Now wait just a cotton pickin' minute, it's being reported(on CNN currently) that Obama is now going to delay or at least it's OK for Ins. co.'s to let people keep their plans for another year. Let's think about this for a minute. When the tea party was doing their grandstanding BS during the shutdown ,the dems kept repeating over and over, "IT"S THE LAW OF THE LAND!" it can't be disputed, and now he want's to circumvent congress yet again and declare something he shouldn't be able to do legally?

Hmmm, let's see..if he proclaims people are good and can keep their policies for another year, it's now mid november and that would be 12 months away which would get us to ..umm, lessee, dec, jan........why HOLY COW! that brings us to mid november again. Now lessee, what is going on next november..? Anyone? Buehller? Buehller?, anyone?

Rut Ro, now to the issue of the ins.co.'s themselves and what pool of insured people are they gonna be stuck with, all the sick, uninsured(which I absolutely support) and will they end up backing out? Could this be a nail in the proverbial coffin? I guess we shall see.

You're obviously new to this country (and to typing), so let me explain how this works in the United States.

The presidency is the executive branch of the government, and as such, is permitted to make administrative changes to laws. If the president oversteps his or her constitutional powers, he or she can be sued in federal court to cancel those changes.

So I'm really hoping the Republicans fight to protect policy-canceling insurance companies against big-government, socialistic policy holders - with cancer. I'm really hoping to see that. Really.
But when the Republicans wanted to this last month, the democrats cried that it was THE LAW and it cannot be changed.
Do as I say ---- not as I do....

It's the law - it cannot be changed unless changed by the king himself.

Ted Cruz was Right! Time to admit it.

Jatki, here is a list of laws not being enforced by your elected leaders in Virgina. But if you feel bad about it you can surrender yourself at your local police office for the million times you've violated this law..."Citizens must honk their horn while passing other cars.""

So after spending the last 4 weeks and starting 100 threads on this board about Obama not letting people keep their old plans...our resident conservatives are now furious that the president ....gulp....agrees with them and is fixing the problem they complained about.

Now watch them trip all over themselves trying to rationalize it

I will be happy when our President says, "I was wrong and Ted Cruz was right".

It sure does seem the juxtaposition doesn't it. I do wish emotions came throgh on postings, especially mine sometimes, 'cause I know my grammer sucks and ,y point(s) don't alway's come throught very succinctly, futurnatley my tpying makes up fer ti.

In all seriousness, I was kinda laughing at most of my post, I found it pretty funny to see O finally backtracking and try to explain/cover his ass over this mess.I do him kudos for stepping up somewhat, he didn't try and shuffle all the blame somewhere else. Were my points valid? I believe so, but in no way are my panties bunched over it. Well I should say one thing that gets me is the timing and how it ever so conveniently coincides with next years elections, SURPRISE! there or should I say shocker, especially since the dems just had a pow wow yesterday at the WH on damage control.

I am happy that maybe the cancellation notices will slow, I hope so, we'll have to see how the Ins. co.s reacto to this news, see if they keep sending them out or take O's lead..?

hoops just doesn't get it.

" 'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.' "
__Humpty Dumpty, Through the Looking Glass

See, the question is "Which is to be master?"

"Given the daunting challenges that we face, it's important that President Elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one."
__Valerie Jarrett, 9 November 2008

President Obama can make words mean whatever he chooses. After all He is special. And the Ruler.

Very simple, it was pointed out by Republicans last month the law and the website won't work. The democrats insisted that the law and rollout couldn't be changed. Now after a disasterous 6 weeks and approval ratings touching 39% obama decides he can change the law.

It should also be noted that the Republicans in the House along with the Democrats were likely going to pass similiar legislation tomorrow & that the Senate would probably go along; so obama decides to jump on the bandwagon ahead of time

By the way wasn't obama's talking points that these were "junk" policies affecting only a small percentage?
