THEY are stating that. Not me.

And Campion's right.

If you ignore the 88,000 who've signed up, according to the story Campion posted but did not read. Apparently they don't count, somehow.

A friendly note to Campion:

Headlines are brief. They don't tell the whole story. That's why the print all those other words below the headline and subhead. You know, the actual story

In Oregon, some 88,000 people have signed up for insurance offered through Obamacare. Not "ZERO", as you claimed. How do I know this? Well, I read a newspaper story you posted, that's how.

Sure, none of them went through the state's terrible website. But they did sign up. Which you would have known if you had a "read newspaper article before posting it" policy.
Ok, thanks

I haven't had health insurance in years, and it hasn't cost anyone else a dime. You appear to be blind to the fact that some people without insurance pay for their own health care out of their own pockets.
Are you really so wealthy that you could pay for every malady that could come your way?

As a human being, you may get end-stage renal disease. It costs the average sufferer $173,000 to treat. Can you afford that?

You also might get cancer and need surgery or chemotherapy. That costs $123,000 on average.

Maybe you'll lose the ability to breathe on your own and will be put on a ventilator. I'm sure you're not average, but if you were, that'd be $314,000.

If you have the ability to afford these expenses, that's pretty impressive.

I suspect, however, that in reality you'll rely on a combination of emergency room care, public assistance, and bankruptcy, shifting the cost onto the rest of society like the good socialist everyone becomes when faced with crushing, unavoidable debt.

It must really bother you that some people pay their own way.

Not in the least.

What bothers me is that you pretend you can't get sick or hit by a bus, then leave your family, your friends, and the rest of society with some huge bill because you can't pay it.

I guess it's because I'm not an irresponsible sort with no sense of obligation to others.

If you can get health insurance, you should.

Thank you Chilbama! No matter how much an individual is responsible for their own life, they are irresponsible because they aren't in a system that YOU choose FOR them.
Its my guess that the overwhelmingly people that will be swelling the medicaid roles are her illegaly. Somehow I doubt thats anything the pro obamacare powers will be spouting in the next election as something to brag or be proud of. Saying that 42 people signed up for insurance and 18,000 got on medicaid in the same state is a success is ludicrous.

Politifact rates claims that illegal immigrants can get either insurance or medicare under Obamacare as
From politifact

"But none of it applies to people who are here illegally. They don’t have to follow the mandate because they shouldn’t be here. They remain ineligible for regular Medicaid coverage, just as they are ineligible for food stamps"

Pants on fire for them because illegals while ineligible do wind up getting medicaid & food stamps, as well as other benefits. In addition the admin has already admitted they will not be able to verify the applications, so the potential for fraud is there.

The Walt Disney Company is apparently planning a Barack Obama biopic:
