Whether you like Part D or not, the people who claimed it was doooomed forevah! because of the initial roll out were idiots. Just like today.

Me: "Mr. Investor, I know we're way over budget and we released this unusable product with 600 bugs, design flaws and security holes. Oh and we lost the confidence of all but our most zealous customers...but remember Medicare Part D, the Civil War and Windows Vista....this thing might work out yet'

You judged it to be wrong before it happened. I judged Obamacare to be wrong before it happened. Incompetence is no surprise to anything run by the government.
