Things that make Fonzie say, "hmmmm...."

Stop flinching DonDiego, it's unbecoming. You've pimped World Net Daily (Birther Central) on these pages, so how can it be hateful to point out the paranoid claims of a favored "news" source? Are you saying WND is great, but you don't believe their claims? You recommended a site that features Ted Nugent and once photoshopped Obama out of a picture with his own (horrors!) white grandparents, but I'm the hater?

So on behalf of mirrors everywhere, I'd just like to say: Don't blame me.
DonDiego is not flinching, . . . just correcting inaccurate charges made against him.
He will now do so again.
__DonDiego is not flinching; it is unbecoming.
__So far as DonDiego knows he has never "pimped" World Net Daily; if he has referenced it in a post, it was referenced so that the reader could judge the source for himself. That is a primary purpose of providing a reference.
__DonDiego has no objection to arshaleign [AKA forkush] pointing out paranoid claims of any news source. [n.b. DonDiego does not have a favored "news source"; he references whatever he has found. He prefers to reference the original source, but sometimes that's troublesome.]
__DonDiego has never said and does not say now that WND is "great".
__DonDiego would judge the claims of a website based on individual incidents. [n.b. DonDiego recognizes that websites can exhibit bias; that bias may indicate poor judgement, or not; it may also indicate falsehood, or not. DonDiego lives in the real world. He does not expect perfection.]
__DonDiego does not know what site features Ted Nugent. He does not care if a site features Ted Nugent. He does not care if a site features Mike Nugent. He does not care if a site features Jacqueline Nugent. DonDiego does not concern himself with Nugents.
__DonDiego opposes photoshopping newsworthy photos; he is not aware of the photo to which arshaleign [AKA forkush] refers.
__The color of President Obama's grandparents is of no concern to poor old DonDiego; the color of President Obama is of no concern to poor old DonDiego. The color of arshaleign [AKA forkush] is of no concern to poor old DonDiego. DonDiego does not concern himself with melanin pigment concentration.
__DonDiego doesn't hate anyone; he hates those in the world who mean to bring harm upon DonDiego and his local community and the United States, but he doesn't know any personally. DonDiego doesn't hate arshaleign [AKA forkush]. He hopes arshaleign [AKA forkush] can work through his problems and become a reasonable human being, . . . someday. Perhaps a pharmacological solution is in order.
__DonDiego would prefer that arshaleign [AKA forkush] not hate DonDiego. He would not mind if arshaleign [AKA forkush] said so.

Meanwhile, a town in Texas has something to say on the matter.

At one time I lived in a town next to this little burg. It was once an agriculture area of rice and soybeans now a suburban bedroom community for commuters to Houston.

The award winner in Constitutional law from an ivy league law school says that they can pass any resolution they want. Technicaly the resolution can not countermand the federal law. However, it is very unlikely that the federal govt. would ever do anything about it. If enough communities started to go along it would warrant action. But, then there would be a political view to consider.
At a rate of $800 an hour I can get a more detailed analysis complete with cites and standing court opinions. I'm going to leave it as it is.

I am and have been in the camp that any gun regs on firearms should be left up to the states. For example, maybe the folks of new york don't need a clip that holds 15 rds, but perhaps a rancher down in the south of texas may have a strong case for wanting higher capacity magazines. I think it's totally unacceptable that the federal govt. always seem to want to be the end all of things that really should be a state issue.

Living in a gun unfriendly state, I take solace that SCOTUS has ruled that the 2A applies at the state level in addition to the federal level.

No. I married said person. That is her normal billing rate and the statement I usually get when I ask a legal question..... Lawyers, geees.

You should charge her $80 a minute for fulfilling your husbandly duties. That should get you at least a half hour of legal advice. :-)

Somehow I found this quite amusing, not sure why.

So it seems I forgot to include the link that I was refering too. I'm sure you were wondering what the heck I was rambling about.
I couldn't tell if it was a proverbial little town in Texas or a real little town in Texas.
