underage gambler?

It does seem to vary quite a bit from casino to casino, pit to pit, dealer to dealer. They are a lot more tolerant of texting than talking on the cell. As long as you aren't holding up the game they're pretty good about it.

me too.

normally security stops them right inside the door. Even saw them card a couple young looking hookers at Harrahs once.
Good god you guys are harsh. At least he realizes kids will be kids and try to get away with stuff. I had a fake ID when I was 17, gambled and got free drinks when I lived in Reno.

I love all the holier- than-thou parents who think that their kids never drink or party...hahahaha.

That old saying "There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers" just went out the window!

The new saying should be "Just stupid people asking questions"

Totally different if the underaged person is breaking the law than if the parent condones it then gets pissed at anyone who doesn't agree.
It really slows down a game when the dealer has to keep checking IDs. Would be nice if the casino could pass out bracelets to young people who have already been IDed and found to be 21 or over.

Get a few non-W2-G jackpot, say $1,000 each, end up the year positive, and then tell your parents that you're going to not pay taxes on it.

I bet they condone it.

I'll type slower this time. Underage gambling is breaking the law. Failing to pay taxes on net gambling winnings, even if their are no W2Gs, is equally breaking the law. If "breaking the law" is your only criteria, then you have to condemn both, right?

But somehow, I have a feeling that some of the most sanctimonious folks here would not go out of their way to pay their lawfully due taxes.

I seem to recall they do issue them.
