Why do certain groups of young men get shot by the police?

"'I have no faith in him,' Clay said, according to the Post-Dispatch.
St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley, who has also questioned McCulloch's objectivity, has asked the state attorney general's office to appoint a special prosecutor to handle the case.
If he chooses to continue handling the case, Nasheed said, Ferguson might go up in flames.
'If you should decide to not indict this police officer, the rioting we witnessed this past week will seem like a picnic compared to the havoc that will likely occur, because the black community will never accept that there was an impartial investigation from your office,' added the democratic senator, of St. Louis."

ie..............kill the cop or we're going to burn the city down.
Hoops, this is Forkie. Do you realize that when George Bush was president...........

What does forfy suggest is the proper evening attire for police during a riot?

Naturally there's videos out there. A cop stops black guys in a cheap neighborhood and no one starts a video? No way in he'll. The only reason we don't see one is because the blacks guys were naughty again.
But if the cop REALLY REALLY did "murder" this poor innocent little boy, we'd be seeing video proof every five minutes.
Beadle is generally "over the top", but in this case likely correct.

Loyd, I heard Jesse was there for a week, oh wait she is white and the killers were black, in jesse's world that be okay, as long as the blacks get a fair trial. The media could offer $10000 for any video, but they love this sh*t, the media would pay $100000 to destroy it!

Umm, . . . . no.

"A police officer may not seize an unarmed, nondangerous suspect by shooting him dead . . . however . . . Where the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a threat of serious physical harm, either to the officer or to others, it is not constitutionally unreasonable to prevent escape by using deadly force."

—Justice Byron White, Tennessee v. Garner
Umm, . . . . yes. (Bold captions for the deliberately obtuse.)

Who's being obtuse now??...
Um that would be you. Obviously if a cop is being charged by someone very large, angry, and possibly wounded, that would a righteous shooting. But if the guy is not a danger to the cop or others and shooting ensues, it's murder. Do you disagree?

Oh I think the masks and camo get-up is perfect if you are going to:

  • Point weapons at unarmed protesters.
  • Arrests journalists with credentials in broad daylight.
  • Allow part of the crime scene - the officer's vehicle - to leave the scene without forensic examination.
  • Refuse to provide badge numbers or names when releasing people after a bogus bust.
  • Illegally tell people to stop shooting video.
  • Aim tear gas canisters at reporters.
  • Yell, "Bring it on, animals" to protesters.
  • Appear like an occupational force rather than a police force.

Why not ask treegirl? I doubt if they do any of the above on the Philly police force.

That's not what you said. You said "if your life WASN'T being threatened (nor anyone else's life)".
Your "life" does not have to be threatened to defend yourself with deadly force. Which is what DD explained with Justice White's opinion. Perhaps you just missed that detail.

I don't know about you, but if a 300 pound 6 foot 4 angry man is charging me, my life is being threatened. Please stop parsing words like DonDiego - it's often a sign that you have a weak argument and you lack integrity (which I don't think applies to you.)

But if the guy wasn't a threat, it was an execution. Do you disagree?
