Why do certain groups of young men get shot by the police?

Not necessarily. Even if life is not threatened the use of deadly force can still be lawful.

Its not parsing words, its the law. Believe me, I get the lectures almost daily. Exact phrasing is everything.

I'm all of 5'11" and if a 6'5" 300 lb guy come rushing at me with the intent of hurting me, the bastard's either going to be dead or crippled for life. (likely dead as I don't think I would be aware enough to shoot out his kneecaps)

Cop got a broken eye socket? True or not true? if true totally justified to shoot and kill. In fact, if I ever attack and mame a cop, if he feels his life is threatened, please shot me!!!!!!!!!

"Stands acquitted?" Oh my, now who's using imprecise language? (Don't worry Cowboy, I don't subscribe to DonDiego parsing to avoid the truth strategy.)

Of course it may have been a righteous shooting. But the Ferguson PD is a cesspool.

Their own stats prove they racially profile to an astonishing state. The police chief came up with three different versions- and it wasn't a "fog of war" mistake - he just came up with different versions of the incident. They still haven't released the incident report. They let the cop leave the crime scene with his car - an actual part of the crime scene. They still haven't released the cop's medical report. Hiding their badge numbers and names. Threatening to kill unarmed protesters. Pointing weapons at unarmed protesters. Arresting journalists without basis and targeting them with tear gas. And verbally threateing to kill one. Dismantling video equipment. Playing occupying force in their army surplus gear. And the list goes on, doesn't it?

Sounds like forky already convicted the officer.

How about the lies the witnesses said about him being shot in the back when he was shot in the front? if he had his arms up as claimed , I doubt the officer would have shot him in the arms/hands, unless he was a really bad shot.

This was a huge mistake. They allowed Dorian Johnson who was possibly an accomplice in the robbery to drive the entire narrative of the event: "Arms Up, Running Away, Surrendering, Don't Shoot, No Provocation." They allowed the officer to be perceived by the world as a murderer without provocation...all on the word of Dorian Johnson...Who the Fuck is Dorian Johnson and why should we believe him over Officer Darren Wilson?

The most incredible part is we still haven't heard Wilson's version of the events. It might have been an unfortunate shooting of a man who was assaulting a police officer. Now, Mr. Brown is a Martyr...quite possibly a false one....and Wilson is portrayed as a racist murderer.

"Stands acquitted" is the correct verbiage. He was accused and put on trial. I acquitted him.

Now as far as the rest of the accusations about the Furguson PD. I would tend to agree with you on their standing from everything I have read so far.
So why is that? These are elected officials or are hired and fired by elected officials. Why do not the majority of the town replace them?
