Why do certain groups of young men get shot by the police?

This was a huge mistake. They should have released the officer's version of the events including details of his serious injury...
They finally released the report! One page. No details. Written ten days after the killing.

Just another bad PR job, right? No, it's a symptom of the rot and total lack of accountability in the Ferguson PD. It goes along with their racially profiling, harassing and arresting journalists, hiding their names and badge numbers, allowing the car to leave the crime scene, and showing up at a protest demonstration like they were in Fallujah.

Oh and your "serious injury" to the police officer. That's based on a second-hand, anonymous caller to a right-wing radio show.

Yes, it may have been a righteous shooting. But Ferguson has a disgraceful police department.

I guess I should have said "alleged serious injury"...but who'd a thunk ABC News is now considered 'a right wing radio show'

https://www.wjla.com/articles/2014/08/ferguson-police-officer-darren-wilson---who-shot-michael-brown---had-serious-facial-injury-source-sa.html

"A source close to Wilson told ABC News that during the struggle at the patrol car, Wilson suffered “a serious facial injury.”

Sorry Hoops, you were correct.

A "riot?" How about a "murderous rampage?"

In the thirteen days since the killing, their have been about twenty legitimate arrests, mostly for burglary or possession of burglary tools. About 90% of the arrests have been either for "refusal to disperse - that is, PEACEFULLY protesting, or curfew violations, or for being a journalist.

1.5 arrests a day doesn't make for much of a riot, does it? Or a murderous rampage.

And the Ferguson Power Rangers first donned their gear in response to a peaceful protest demonstration. That is an utterly discredited tactic, because if you want to incite some of the fringe elements in a crowd, just make like an inhuman anonymous occupying force.

Incidentally, according to Ferguson's own police statistics, they profile black for stops and searches way out of proportion to the likelihood they are carrying contraband, or their proportion of the population. And racially profiling is illegal. So a lot of the Ferguson criminals are wearing badges, aren't they?

The criminals are the ones who are looting, the criminals are the ones on video stealing cigars in a store and then assaulting the store owner, the criminals are the ones who end up with 6 bullet holes in the front of their body because they charged at a police officer.
The ignorance of those that don't see this......certainly not bliss.

Most of the people that have been arrested were not from Ferguson, having come from as far away as California and New York. They were obviously there to make trouble.

According to forky all those news videos of people shooting locks off stores, throwing rocks, Molotov cocktails, dozens of people breaking into stores must have been video shot by Boiler Nick.

I don't own a handgun, but Boiler's son could shoot some punks.

Boiler - I meant to say the video was shot by boiler nick (your infamous friend that forky called a liar)

hoops, would you actually expect anything less? After all their role models are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who will travel across the country to incite trouble and get on TV.

Dumb and dumber. The day blacks don't commit the majority of crime, don't clog up the prison system, curb their runaway out-of-wedlock birthrate, and get that goofy looking race baiter Al Sharpton (Reverend my ass) to apologize to the US for being an Obama stooge, is the day racial profiling against this angry race will stop.
I assumed that's what you meant.
