Why do certain groups of young men get shot by the police?

There you go Forkie....starting to make sense now, huh?
I sure hope you never need the police because karma is waiting for you.

Okay forkush since you're asking I will make up some scenarios just for you. But what if, let's just say the guy tried to take the cops gun away prior to getting shot.../q]

It would be murder.

Once someone's hands are in the air and no longer an immediate threat to you or others, you don't get to shoot. You don't get to do it in war, and you don't get to do it in Ferguson.

You don't get to do it even if they were previously violent. Or uppity.

The video proves my point that he's a punk. Does PJ disagree?

Interesting to note on this board the vast difference of opinion between this incident and one where a white, Nevada rancher broke the law and faced armed law enforcement (who did not even shoot the rancher).

I don't know the facts of the incident in St Louis beyond the different accounts from different witnesses which paint very different picyures of what happened. Its just interesting to note how some people on this board speculate the black punk had it coming....while the white rancher was standing up against an oppressive government. I say it is interesting but not surprising.

He may very well be a punk...i guess. What is the definition of a punk? Someone who breaks the law? Someone who threatens violence on other people?

Most of our resident conservatives did not deny Clive Bundy's unlawful activity leading to his unfavorable court verdict. But they did complain about a militant enforcement of that violation...and they shrugged off thousands of protestors who pointed guns at those law enforcement agents (even though law enforcement had not shot anyone).

2 incidents of law enforcement:
Incident a) a black suspect is shot and killed by an officer
Incident b) a white suspect is exposed to law enforcement simply showing up with holstered weapons
Our resident conservatives verdict: Incident (b) demonstrates abuse by law enforcement. incident (a) is a punk who had it coming

Chris Rock on Donald Sterling:

[Chris Rock] went on to say that though he wasn't defending Sterling, he did think the owner had a point when he told his girlfriend V. Stiviano not to hang out with Magic Johnson and other African-American basketball players.

"What did he say? 'I don't want my woman around black basketball players.' Me neither! Are you kidding me?" Rock said. "Who the hell wants their woman around black basketball players?"
Meanwhile in Ferguson, MO overnight, . . .

The recently imposed curfew was violated overnight, . . . quite a bit.

One person was critically injured in a shooting and seven people were arrested early today after a curfew went into effect. Not many details available 'cept it happened near Red's BBQ.

Tear gas and smoke bombs were used to disperse a group of defiant protesters.

Etc,. etc., etc.
I just wish the "facts" would come out soon! Of course JJ was there right away, what a tool. Jesse has never worked a day in his life, he is not a role model and never will be. The black man that works 9-5 is my hero. JMHO

There is an amateur video taken shortly after the shooting showing Mr. Brown's body lying in the street, . . . with the videographer speaking to a companion. In the background noise there is an unidentified speaker describing the shooting as though he is an eye-witness. He suggests that Mr. Brown had run from the police officer after an altercation in/near the police car. But as the officer exited his vehicle Mr. Brown charged at him, . . . and the officer fired several times before he fell. This would explain what poor old DonDiego found most odd about the incident - Why did the officer fire so many rounds?

It's still just hearsay, . . . so DonDiego leaves it up to the reader to investigate further, if he is interested.

DonDiego does not know the truth of the matter.
