Face shields and masks reduce transmission by roughly 50%: far from "worthless."

The best mask is the N95.  The others are marginal at best.

Face shields are not as effective as face masks, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The CDC says, “It is not known what level of protection a face shield provides to people nearby from the spray of respiratory droplets from the wearer.” The report goes on to state that, “There is currently not enough evidence to support the effectiveness of face shields for source control.”

As common as cloth face masks have become, health experts say, they do little to prevent tiny virus particles from getting into your nose or mouth and aren't effective. "Cloth masks are not going to cut it with omicron," says Linsey Marr, a researcher at Virginia Tech told NPR.

From the warning label on paper masks sold in stores.

"This product is an ear loop mask, this product is not a respirator and will not provide any protections against COVID-19 (coronavirus) and other viruses or contaminants."

Fentanyl overdoses have surged to the leading cause of death for adults between the ages of 18 and 45, according to an analysis of U.S. government data.

Try using feminine pads on your face then.

I would love to see the Dem meeting where fetterman and biden try to have a conversation

Tom, you're ignorant. Your "stat" on fentanyl deaths is laughable. But you did move the goalposts!

Lie with some conviction, at least. Don't just make shit up.

Ol' Lots-Of-Words tom is at it again. With no source for his claims.

Maybe we shouldn't criticize his happy place.

These are US government stats from the CDC.  If you choose not to believe then, that is your problem

I'm not a teacher but on a school board that was tasked with combating this ridiculousness.  And please don't get me started on their unions.  If the job is so essential as you say, why were most teachers wanting to sit at home during 2020 and 2021?  It is so "essential" but they were too chicken shit to come to work and do their jobs.  Huh?

It might just be that they are lazy and 4 months off a year isn't enough.

"4 months off?" I don't believe you.

Summer and all the off days during the school year isn't equal to 4 months off a year?

Maybe Kevin can help you add up the days.

You cite stats out of context, use grossly incomplete information, and cherry-pick your data. You focus on very short periods of time when your "stats" look the most alarming, like "FORTY-SEVEN MURDERS IN CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!" over the last seven days--even though it was an isolated incidence.

I don't know whether you're so stupid as to not be able to interpret statistics, or you know what you're doing and you're just lying. Stats without context mean nothing, and it's kind of sad that you think they mean anything in isolation.
