President Biden

Good point - is more like 6 months when you add up all the regular weekends.

It is a really easy job!

And you've never done it in your life, but claim to know all about it.

Jerry, you're a fucking idiot--or at least you sound that way when you claim to know all about a profession about which you're completely ignorant.

School year is 180 days, less 12 sick days, makes it 168.  In NY & other states unused sick days are paid out when one retires.  It is not unusual for someone to get a year's salary as a bonus when they retire.  Speaking of retirement there is the pension (often includes a COLA) and the low cost medical benefits.

School day is 6.5 hours which includes a lunch break & a "prep" period to do correct tests, homework & prep for a class.  Actual in class is about 5 hours.  Then there are stipends for coaching, clubs, lunch duty, before & after school supervision & chaperoning

So if they do 2 hours of additional prep work per day you get to an 8 hour day with significant more time off.

Wow, what an incredibly stupid thing to say. 180 days? Weekends and holidays aren't part of the school year?? Hint, dum-dum; they are.

Teachers are professionals and pay into a retirement plan. They often qualify for pensions. Y'know, just like any other professional occupation that requires advanced education, training, and licensure. But teachers' retirement benefits are skimpy compared to those enjoyed by other professionals.

Whether or not things like Tom and Jerry admit it, teachers routinely spend 10-20 hours a week working at home during the school year. They aren't paid a single additional dime for that. And because it's largely not visible to the public, our resident things think it isn't real.

Look at Tom's post.  Is it really that hard for you to figure out?  You need some documented proof?  Have you never seen a teacher's schedule before?  I didn't have you as being this dumb, MP.  Chicken shit, yes, but not your resident idiot like say Vegas Toad.

Like I said, really easy job.

I figured out Tom's post easily enough. He said that the school year, which lasts from September to June, is 180 days long. At least he didn't write "skool year" (maybe he was coached).

You and the other idiot don't realize how many unscheduled and unpaid hours teachers work. There is supposed to be two hours of class preparation and homework and test grading for every one hour spent in the classroom. So a teacher with 5 hours a day of classroom instruction actually works 75 hours a week.

"Like you said"--stupidly. Easy? Have you ever done it? How do you presume to know?

Teachers ARE underpaid, and I can prove it using Republican logic.

You've heard conservatives say "Let the market decide," right? Well, the labor market is a market too. At the present wages, districts can't find enough teachers to staff their classrooms. Ergo, wages are too low.

Oh, and Jerry still lying about the four months thing.

Teachers aren't valued in American society, largely because of views like Jerry's ignorant nonsense. It hasn't helped, historically, that most teachers have been and still are female. Conservitards think wimmenfolk don't deserve to make as much money as manly men.

We're practically the only society on earth that thinks this way! Everywhere else, teachers are cherished and valued.

As usual kevin can't keep his lies straight

My average workweek was about 50 hours, and more than half of that was spent outside the classroom

So a teacher with 5 hours a day of classroom instruction actually works 75 hours a week.

teachers routinely spend 10-20 hours a week working at home during the school year.

We have established the school day is 6.5 to 7 hours per day including lunch or 35 hours top, less if you factor in lunch & the the prep time.

Kevin has said the work week is 75 hours, 50 hours &  40 hours

The Brookings Institute study says it is 40 hours

From Mark

For the uninformed most school districts require teachers take on some sort of extracurricular activity often more than one.

Extracurricular activities are all stipends, over and above the salary.

The school year is 180 days; assuming the teacher is in every day   All other days are weekends, holidays & vacations.

Non teachers work about 230 days

Getting back to the topic.  Yesterday's biden interview.  He gets worse every week.

President Biden appeared to zone out after he was asked in a new interview whether his wife, Jill Biden, wants him to run for reelection in 2024.

Dr. Biden is for it?” Capehart asked as a follow-up — but was met with a long, awkward silence as Biden appeared to glance toward the floor in the sit-down interview that aired Friday night.

“Mr. President —,” the interviewer eventually interjected. “Dr. Biden thinks that — my wife thinks that I, uh — that we’re doing something very important,” Biden finally said.

tom is the same every day. No source for his copy-and-paste job.

But I'll bet whoever he got it from once said that hydroxychloroquine cured Covid, and that Obama was going to institute Sharia Law.

Amirite tom?

mp is a sanity denier when it comes to biden & can't be bothered to look for it
