Corporations now have religious freedom

Yep, WAR ON WOMEN is now the battle cry, heck, Mal has already declared forced orgy's at the workplace.(which I'm still trying to figure out the logic behind that one).
This may come as a surprise to some, . . . but the Federal Government has been waging a War on Poor Old Codgers living on a modest pension by making them pay income tax, . . . to pay for everybody else's benefits ! ! !

DonDiego won't be surprised if'n them revenuers begin shown' up to his place, and he'' have to shoo 'em off'n his lawn.
I am forming a closely held pagan corporation. Since the orgy's are a sincere religious belief the corporate employees would have to participate. While the employees would be free to quit and leave their job, I could not be sued for sexual harassment because I would have exempted the corporation out of those types of laws.

The Supreme Court's ruling does not force any company employee to do anything. In fact, it allows the employee to do whatever she or he likes.

Now Malibber, please explain why your post applies here.

How in the world does exempting a few birth control methods equate with FORCING employees to do anything? It makes zero sense

Because, if women don't get access to every single type of birth control, the democrats will cry foul. Of course they leave out that all of these methods are available for FREE at planned parenthood offices....

At least according to the conservative majority on the Supreme court. The very predictable outcome is many corporations will now find "religion" to avoid complying with all sorts of Federal Laws.

Minimum Wage and overtime laws are among the first I suspect that will be challenged as an infringement of these new found corporate religious rights.

This is probably one of the worst decisions handed down in modern times. How to determine what is a legitimate religious belief of an intangible non-living thing is beyond me.

Gee, like you really think this will happen? Last I heard 6 people or less have to own the company....Kinda makes that real hard to do now eh???
How about Cargill, Koch Industries and Dell. That's about 300,000 Americans employed right there.

And in 2009, a majority of American employees worked for closely held corporations.

But you know, Chef, you've been so good at ignoring actual data in the past, why don't you ignore this bit too. Just keep on ignorantly claiming that closely held corporations are really rare. That way you'll stay consistent.

Oh Forkster, Cargill has 140,000+ owners (mainly employees) that's a bit more than 6 linky

According to Business week the Koch brothers have 7 people on the board of directors and the family owns about 86% of the business.

Looks like the Supreme Court is cool with bosses banning 20 out of 20. Ain't religious freedom wonderful?

Of course Forkie still forgets the existence of Planned Parenthood which provides birth control and abortions at no cost for women....
