I had a delightful conversation with a health Insurance company rep this morning

delay with litigation all the way to the Supreme Court; - while it was going thru the courts the govt continued to enact the law

delay by refusing to set up marketplaces in red states; - an option provided to the states by the SC

delay by refusing to fund healthcare.gov; 1 billion plus has been spent on this site

sabotage by inventing phony horror stories about the law. (See Boilerman's scumbag friend Nick.) According to Gallup 23% of the population has been negatively impacted by the law. They can't all be lying. Is maliber lying?

forky - what obamacare plan do you have?
Yet another change; this one appears to eliminate the penalty

The most recent exemption appears to have been included last week, in an ObamaCare application document. There already had been 13 distinct exemptions, but this document added one more.

The document said that individuals can now qualify for a "hardship exemption" -- meaning they would not have to pay a penalty for not buying insurance -- if they "experienced another hardship in obtaining health insurance."

The document does not define what "another hardship" means, and suggests the administration might not be a stickler when it comes to proof either. It says anyone seeking this exemption should "submit documentation if possible."

About 39% of Republicans claim that Obamacare has already hurt their families. Are they lying? Yes! And I can prove it:

  • About 55% of Republicans are ineligible for Obamacare because they have employer insurance.
  • Of the remaining 45%, about 23% are ineligible because they receive Medicare.

That leaves a maximum 22% of Republicans who might have already been affected by Obamacare, and probably much less. So how did they get to 39%? Lying. Lying like Boilerman's friend Nick. Lying the the Koch funded Boonstra ads. Lying like the GOP State of the Union response, with a woman who never even looked at ACA prices.

That's your party, hoops, and you fit right in.

teechur and DonDiego still have insurance.
But they have been negatively affected. Their family physician quit his practice because of Obamacare.

    That's 2 people.

People who have had their company premiums increased as a result of obamacare rules are negatively impacted. People who have trouble seeing their primary becasue he moved into a group practice are negatively impacted.

I now need a lead time of 2 weeks to see my doctor; which doesn't help me when I am sick. I used to get in to see him right away when I was sick.

My insurance premium is up over 20% in the last 2 years; remember when obama said we would save $2,500

Perhaps using the Federal Marketplace saved red-State taxpayers a lot of money.

"Members of a U.S. House Committee are asking for a federal investigation into glitches that continue to plague the [Maryland] exchange website and are considering seeking a refund of some of the tens of millions of federal tax dollars spent to build the Maryland Health Connection program.
Maryland Health Connection, one of the state-run health insurance operations created after passage of health care reform, has been hampered by website malfunctions, limiting the ability of residents to enroll in the program.

In a separate statement, the chairman of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee said 'Maryland’s implementation remains a failure.'

The former head of the Maryland Health Connection Rebecca Pearce resigned her post during an emergency meeting of the agency’s board Dec. 6.
But emails obtained by the News4 I-Team show Pearce continued to receive her salary until Feb. 1.
Pearce, the News4 I-Team has learned, was placed on paid administrative leave for six weeks, and continued collecting paychecks. Her starting salary was set at $175,000 in 2011. Efforts to contact Pearce were unsuccessful."

The extension that President Obama announced in February allowed those employers with 50-99 employees that don't currently offer health insurance to continue that practice until January 1, 2016. After that date, they must offer insurance. In the meantime, these employees, which account for about 2 percent of all employees, must find their insurance elsewhere, likely through the exchanges.

malibber's wife apparently HAS employer-based insurance. The requirement that insurers cover pre-existing conditions effective January 1, 2014 has NOT been extended.
    Cigna
    NFP Thorban
    Aetna
    Faegre Baker Daniels

I didn't have time to read the entire internet. But everything I'm seeing says that the Obamacare requirement that all insurance policies cover pre-existing conditions effective January 1, 2014 is now in effect.

So if malibber's wife has insurance now, it HAS to cover pre-existing conditions.

I don't believe you. Why would millions more people insured by Obamacare carriers, like Blue Cross, Cigna, and United Healthcare, cause your family physician to quit?
