No more craps etiquette at Caesars Palace

Way too many superstitious players at dice, and, or, there are just incredibly Stupid players with no real common sense.

True story: I have strictly limited time to play, and with only one table going a few years ago it was certainly not my intention to cause trouble but I buy in anyhow between rolls at a kinda full table ( not wanting to wait for the point to be made) and I make my standard come bet.

Next roll is seven out.

The shooter looks at me and says "look what you made me do" WHAAAAT did that idiot say???

How superstitious and stupid was that guy? If I had the god given ability to make shooters seven out I would spend all day, every day, at the casino and make millions a week. I would wait until a shooters point was established, saunter up, buy in, and make a $10,000.00( table limit) come bet and win every single time as the shooter would seven out, as I would win my new come bet as everyone else loses...HA HA HA..What a fun time that would be..

Reality is too much for some idiots to comprehend. There have been other times I have done the same exact thing, ( buy in between rolls) and the shooter instead goes on to hold the dice for an hour or so with an incredible roll and lots of money made for all.

Real Truth is as WE ALL KNOW???? ( or maybe not)

Makes no difference what you do..or don't do at the table...or what other players do or don't do...Sometimes you win...sometimes you lose....The only GUARANTEED winner is the HOUSE...If you are totally stupid and not aware of that fact you should stay home and play with yourself.

Off Kilter, you are right. It's stupid superstition. In fact, you have to be stupid to even play in a casino and at any game. Even if you think you're a card counter. Even if you think you're an advantage player. It's still all stupid. You could make more money elsewhere with the skills that an advantage player has.

So that brings us back to the only reason to go into a casino -- the thrill and enjoyment of gambling. So consider this:

When you bought in "mid roll" you did not cause the 7 to appear on the next roll. But when the 7 appeared you received the blame because you bought in mid-roll.

Had you not bought in and the dice showed a 7 on the next roll it would have been fate or bad luck. But you bought in -- so instead of fate and bad luck being blamed, you were blamed.

So, a question: would you rather bad luck and fate be blamed or are you willing to accept the blame?

I don't buy in "mid roll." I know that my buy in has no effect on the dice. But if the dice do show a 7 I don't want to be blamed, so I don't buy in.

People go to a casino for fun. Let them have their fun. Your time for fun will come -- so wait for your time. There is no need to jump in on someone else's time.
You know CE well enough not to buy in mid roll, but still neglected to watch the stickman control the dice!***

***you can't make this stuff up...lol
treegirl, you're right. I made a mistake. And I said that from the beginning. I guess I could have stood there for a second or two and made an announcement: "I am about to throw the dice. Hands up please." Yep, that's the ticket.

No. You were not paying attention.
Slow your roll player!

Good advice to follow LA,

However, People buy in all the time between rolls when I have the dice and I am not upset about it at all and I certainly never would say a word.. ..If a person playing craps is that sensitive and insecure and would go "ballistic" over the dice hitting anothers hands or any other minor indiscresion at the table they should really think hard about finding another game to play.

As you say the casino is there for fun, for all... People who are stupid, crude and rude will definitely chill the fun aspect quickly.

You're not a craps player, are you? Anyone who sets their dice and used anything that appears to be a controlled or influenced throw, does not want to be accused of delaying the game.

A good "dice influencer" is someone who can set their dice and throw them in a couple of seconds.

The last thing you want to do is delay the game and have the crew or pit notice that you are delaying the game.

Remember that at this point of my "hand" I had already made several passes including three different points towards the fire bet. The table was pretty much full and the "existing players" were already into the routine and the rhythm of the game.

I wasn't expecting a new player to squeeze in. As soon as I had my chips sorted and into my rail from the previous roll I had my fingers on the dice and they were leaving my finger tips as I noticed the new player fumbling for that stack of chips.

Slowing down the game is not what a shooter wants to do either.
Yes I am a craps player and see your type at the tables all too often.
I never suggested slowing down the game. I suggested you do when shooting the dice. It takes about 1 second to look at the table before shooting.
If you were half as good at dice setting as you claim, you would be in a casino all the time instead of selling your website. (As you did once again here by linking to it )
